«  Great! »

Purchased in April 2013 by curiosity, although I took.
It is the jazzmaster or jaguar I know more.
Here the pitch is 648mm, width at nut 42mm approx, 22 frets fully seated (nothing more than very comfortable), the handle is screwed (rosewood with key blocks to Gigi).
The pickups are Wilkinson p90 screwed into the body and humbucking effect in middle position. Master volume and master tone toggle switch could not be more misplaced.

The vibrato is very original, no cavity back everything is on the table.
Vintage mechanical into the agreement even though the vibrato.
Perfectly cut nut.
Telecaster bridge the Bigsby, so floating bridges but with six round fluted for precise positioning of the strings relative to the posts of microphones.
All perfectly done, very strong Harley!

UTILIZATION

Very good handle, satin, well rounded without being.
Quite heavy but well balanced in spite of my fears.
Chamfer very comfortable on the table, she let them play without fatigue.
Ozégu total access, fortunately the heel mastoc it helps to properly support.

The vibrato is a treat of sweetness, nothing to do with the softest a Bigsby B6 standard strat,. So we end all coulters agreements with vibrato is addictive!
Note on the bridge: as the table is flat and the handle not reverse the string tension on the bridge is rather low, so if the string is moving aggressively plectrum ...

SOUNDS

Good microphones I would say, compared to Gigi is less grating, softer but more balanced and mostly quietly in the middle position.
I installed a phantom coil (there is room) for the bridge pickup without unwanted noise in large distortion, and this guitar sounds as great in this case.

Then clean it more than Strat Tele, not too bright but warm and quite round.
In the middle position it properly chouic for fonk
In bridge without coil ghost is unbearable as it buzzes but it is known at least since 1950 ..
For the crunch this guitar is very good, it offers both substance and finesse.

OVERALL OPINION

Very nice surprise this type of guitar has always intrigued me, but the price of outright prohibitive F downright discouraged.

We buy it for the look, single vibrato delicacy and sweetness, the clean and crunch sounds stock.
A small investment for a phantom coil and the way great sounds is open.
I Chouteau tone, enlarged the hole to 12mm and installed the toggle switch to the more ergonomic place (to wonder what Leo had thought that day huh).
The price is again an enigma given the quality of the proposed seriously.
