This guitar has been equipped with microphones Burny (not VH-1) Fairly flat, featureless, whistling. Ele then received an SH-4 bridge and a FatCat in the heats, then JB has been replaced by another fat cat. I liked the little difference in its input model fat cat and SH4, I preferred the clarity and brilliance of the Fat Cat.
For information, my other guiatres feature: Gibson '57 (youngest to DNG) the pickups almost too perfect: bright humbucker, puissat and dynamic but still ...), viontage SeymourDuncan AlnicoII pro (On Ibanez AS50), Fat Cat on hamer sunburst, Di Marzio DLX90 on Lag Roxanne.
After repeated testing had very light volume, crunch saturated (times 70's rock, the Beatles to Thin Lizzy, Bowie to Deep Purple ...) ... Well I just rediscovered this guitar. These microphones have character. They sound very svintage classic humbucker. The microphone gives me serious round sound that jai rarely obtained easily. the microphone is perfect for acute rhythmic solos and saturated (hard rock) and fat and arpeggios clean and crunch (I Want You She's So Heavy).
I'm just thrilled! To me, they have nothing to envy to équivallent seymour or another, I find their character, power, no buzz or hiss ... unpleasant, they are delivered envloppés carefully in bubble wrap in box + foam + craton very nice + wiring diagram, with a lap of micro black, 2 spring screws (4 for microwave towers, 2 microphones for themselves.).
Initially I bought these mics in order to resell the guitar .. I keep it finally has to ask me if I'm not going to get on the hamer to see .... (But I'm afraid not to find the "body" and sustain the sound of Les Paul
Finally, the value for money defies concurence possible (- $ 40 microphone, $ 18 shipping)
