Manufacturing Indonesia by Samick (to whom the name "Silvertone" now seems to belong)
22 frets like "jumbo", 2 humbuckers brand unknown, oil bath mechanical efficient and accurate (not too detuning of the program is nice) ...
Bridge type "Gibson" and shiny chrome.
A 3-position selector (to Gibson) a micro volume and overall tone, all breathing the quality and reliability.
Bolt on maple with rosewood fingerboard ... Agathis body, but from the information gleaned on the net.
Overall the finish is quite good and the black varnish slightly "Glitter" is the most beautiful effect (even if it takes fingerprints very easily).

UTILIZATION
The handle is very nice, not too late, we feel it's there, but really comfortable with the slightly domed button. The glittery black varnish (same as for the rest of the guitar) seems fine and does not stick.
I am anything but a "guitar hero" but all the boxes (22) are easily accessible. The crazy frenzied solos especially appreciate the heel "cleared" to facilitate access to the latest boxes.
The selector is a bit weird microphones placed but it annoyance finally not so much the left hand.
The guitar stings the nose very slightly but is generally well balanced and a reasonable weight. Form with bevel to the forearm, is very comfortable.
When empty, it sounds great with very good sustain. Connected, I'll come ...
SOUNDS

In general, no frills, that therefore, a direct Engl Screamer "first generation" possibly add a slight tremolo in the effects loop and maybe an old analog delay to finish making noise ...
Let's be honest, the sounds are not clear at the top, even though the neck pickup is surprisingly smooth and is doing quite well (without comment for the bridge pickup, not really comfortable with this exercise).
Crunch on a channel, we feel that the right output level microphones "pushes" out the lights ... rock that sounds a little dirty and quite vintage microphones for two whole, although 70's rock to the bridge alone, and many blues-rock for the neck pickup.
Lead to a channel, even moderately boosted, there is large rock on all positions, keeping the spirit mentioned above ... The neck pickup sounds so amazingly "modern".
Some noise and breath when you push the gain (but only on my V-amp ... on a "real" amp rolling!), It does not "buzz" by not cons ... the pickups are not super accurate and are somewhat prone to microphonics but it's still within reason.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a few days ... I love his "mouth" full of chrome quasi "bad taste" ... the best is that it sounds like what it looks like ... guitar rock, a little bad taste but unpretentious.
I was looking for a guitar with humbuckers to push a little lamps of my amp, I think not being bad fall, even if his face composite Mosrite / SG / Iceman / Harley Davidson "which m ' was most attracted. sheriff's star and the signature of Paul "Kiss" engraved on the Stanley ideally complement the table easel ...
It seems rather rare in Europe but is easily found in the United States mail for a reasonable price (we are on the entry level) that is around $ 350.
I have had a few years, an entry-level model Epiphone (Les Paul Special), I prefer it a thousand times and not only for his original face. It's more comfortable, better finished, and it sounds really much better.
Finally an interesting choice for a guitar "rock" entry-level ... at least it's original, it comes out replica Les Paul, SG or guitar shredders ... but as always, try yourself to get an idea!
