3-way, 400-watt RMS passive bass-reflex loudspeakers (103 dBm).

Equipped with B&C speakers.

XLR and 1/4" jack connections.

I've been using them for about 10 years and I'm very satisfied!

(sorry for those who expected an aggressive review...)

Accurate, clear and present sound. At high output levels the dynamic response is good.

Nice sound!

You can clearly hear it's a 3-way speaker. This advantage is also a disadvantage because the mid driver is very fragile, so be careful not to overload it...

I don't know if they can really support 400 watts (with a signal source like a CD player) but they are very good for a band.

You can clearly feel its 103 dBm, which isn't bad at all for such a compact system.

I also like a lot that the sound stays accurate, even at a very low output volume! The whole frequency spectrum is clearly reproduced, which isn't always the case with PA loudspeakers (very good to use them also at home).

The frequency response is not linear (typical hi-fi sound with loud lows and highs) but once you know how they sound it's easy to make the proper corrections with an EQ.

I tested other systems with the same output power in the same price range: these speakers don't produce an "in-your-face" sound, they are made for people who want to enjoy good music at high SPL.

They are great for sound reinforcement with a rock band (but 2 x 400 watts are not enough to make drums sound big). For DJ applications you'll have to add a subwoofer to get powerful lows (if you work at a reasonable output volume you can add an enhancer like the Behringer Ultrafex Pro whose sound is not so bad in spite of all the negative reviews I've read about the brand).

The only con is the price... But it's alright considering the quality...

I would buy them again, although I might consider some of the more interesting newer products!
