Mounted on a good bill lespaul p90, whose original pickups are superb in every respect except noise.
First, this DiMarzio was married to p90 round home, and frankly it was awful in comparison. Output level is too low, dull and completely blocked, no bass and treble Raplapla, that the verdict against a good p90. Therefore not sustainable.

I changed the pickup for a serious kind minihumbucker gretsch, suddenly the duo was consistent in mind, the amp settings could be adapted to the guitar.

The DiMarzio is tight enough puncher, with highs well controlled, with a stout disto is very good. The race for his part minihumbucker not sound louder, more open and bright, no more bass. Thus I have all the same guitar, its clear and blues with the bass and distos with DiMarzio.
The sound of the two together is quite clean for its rhythmic, less than the micro pearl serious one though.
Splitted is not interesting, my switch is there in case but the resulting sound is not worth the trouble.

Finally, to do good saturax DiMarzio this is pretty good, he prefers to multieffect amp, but if you combine it with a p90 original is bad as the difference in sound quality is great.
With a guitar style melody maker gibson (a microphone) is all-in-playable.
I have not tested the option DiMarzio single wired in parallel rather than serially, which usually sounds more stratovolcano (always silently). A ringtone maker that is important to have this opportunity I get.
