By TonyBruno on 07/07/2009
Native Instruments has launched the "Tone Up For Summer" special for GUITAR RIG 3, a time-limited offer that gives access to the digital guitar studio at discounts of up to 50%.
Until August 31st 2009, the "Tone Up For Summer" special offer puts the GUITAR RIG 3 Software Edition at a suggested retail price of $169 / EUR 149 and the GUITAR RIG 3 Kontrol Edition with included foot controller/audio interface at $449 / EUR 399, available from authorized dealers and in the NI Online Shop.

Further information on GUITAR RIG 3 is available at www.native-instruments.com/guitarrig.info.

Native Instruments also announced it will no longer maintain a booth presence at industry tradeshows like the NAMM Show, Musikmesse or AES in the future. The company says it has decided to instead "prioritize online communication channels to engage with customers directly even stronger, and to allocate budgets accordingly."

"Times are changing and we have seen tradeshows become increasingly less relevant for our industry," said Pablo La Rosa, International Marketing Director at Native Instruments.

Guitar Rig 3.1 update is now available
By Cannonball on 04/02/2008
Native Instruments announces the release of Guitar Rig 3.1, a free software update for its digital guitar studio. The new version offers optimized high-precision modeling for improved sound quality as well as several usability enhancements.
Based on recent engineering progress, Guitar Rig 3.1 has been equipped with optimized algorithms, which result in a significantly reduced noise floor for virtual amps and stomp box components with no increase in processor load. This now enables Guitar Rig to deliver rich, saturated high-gain tones without the usual amount of associated background hiss.

Further improvements in version 3.1 include the new ability to conveniently handle multiple rack components at once, an optimized Live View with more customization options, enhanced Rig Kontrol integration, extended support for external foot pedals, and a revised user manual.

The 3.1 update is now available as a free download for registered users of GUITAR RIG 3 Kontrol Edition and Software Edition.
