« Cort X6 »
Published on 03/29/04 at 14:00I was looking for a contrast to my LP style guitar and found the X6 at a local guitar shop. After trying that and a few other guitars i finally arrived at the decision to buy it. I acquired the guitar for £260.
Looks amazing and in my opinion looks better than the various models produced and retailed by Ibanez or Maveick. It sounds awesome with twin Mightymite Pick-ups and one single coil Mightymite precission pick-up (HSH configuration). The Floyd Rose Trem has a massive range and is easy to use without over doing it. The fretboard is user friendly and the locking mechs mean you'll rarely have to re-tune. Also worth noting is the coil tap control and the smooth, contoured body.
The only thing i have to say that is negative about the X6 is....erm, there is nothing negative about it!
Basswood double cutaway Ibanez-RD-a-like body with contours that set it apart fomr all those who may question it's styling. Very high quality construction. Rose wood fret board and shallow frets.
One of the best mid-low priced (budget/novice) guitars on offer. Looks, sounds, feels and performs like any good guitar should, and more. It's got the ability to make even starters sound good. Go on, you might just make it before the store closes, go buy it! And more importantly, ENJOY!
