Unnecessary to describe it again, this has been done.
Just to clarify, as this can vary depending on the year, mine is 2004 and equipped with Seymour Duncan, two singles and a double bridge.

UTILIZATION

The handle, this is the greatest asset (by far) of this guitar.
It is exceptionally thin and easy to play.
Never found an equivalent.
Ergonomics is good, although with the 25 frets is not easy to reach the 25th, a little more notch in the body would have helped.
Weight, normal, no more or less onerous than a strat eg.
It depends on the microphones that fitted, but it's a guitar a little mat, without much character, not really typical. It just all not bad, but nothing particularly special.
There is no "sound" Vigier Excalibur, then there is a "sound" Fender Stratocaster.

SOUNDS

Rather intended to crunch sounds.
Clean sounds unoriginal, and not enough fish for the metal (perhaps by equipping it with EMG ...)

OVERALL OPINION

I just bought it mainly for me because I wanted to diversify a handle for a quick game.
As mentioned above this is his main interest, equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo foolproof, it allows every whim.
Too bad the sound does not follow as well, you really have to put a good amp simulation with the big potato and some good effects (like me when you come back in a console) so that it spits out a correct sound, but after that, then play it becomes a treat.
My personal equipment: a Tonelab SE + a Sansamp GT2 in the loop insertion Tonelab + reverb / delay in the / return on console, then this gives ca ....
The violin is a wonderful, simple and accurate settings.
Price a bit high, she deserves better pickups.
