The chance of music as a profession passed me by. If the today's PC-based music synths had been around two or three decades ago, things could have been different.

As it is, music is a hobby for me. My son (13 yrs) learns piano and trombone. He may end up as a professional musician... he's got the talent. To help him along I use NWC for song input and export MIDI files which I put onto a Yamaha Clavinova (CLP-150), so my son can have piano accomp.

I also use FL Studio. I have the XXL Producer version for all the good stuff. Fav generators are Sakura, Harmless, Morphine, Poizone and Toxic. Like to tweek the presets. I have an M-Audio Axiom59 which I don't use a lot, mainly 'cos it's too big. I recently got KORGnano KEYS and PAD which are excellent for my purposes. In FLStudio the FPC drum sounds are v good (for me at least).

As of August 2010 I have started to learn the Ukulele. It's great fun and a nice change from my other musical activities.
