UTILIZATION

I use it in the workplace in live sound, evenings (small shows we get along with backing tracks, or some musicians), also broadcast by radio. It is also rented out to individuals.

Use of this console is relatively simple.

Something that must be taken: the switches on the cross fader. Indeed, if the channel selectors are on the same path on each side of the crossfader, you can not have her on the road in question.

In addition there are pre-listen on the way lines and masters, not the pickups. If this is not a problem for a single use of DJ mix, it is more in another frame.

SOUNDS

For the price, I do not have much to say. The settings are accurate, the meter is not at all approximate. There is little wind, gains possible to obtain a good signal / noise ratio, we never need to push to get to 0 db.

Equalizers are very good, can be limited to a DJ use, but adequate. I would have appreciated a low-cut filter on the microphone, but good at this price, we will not quibble ...

The way microphones do not seem too sensitive to noise, despite unbalanced input jacks, which is a good thing. I have known more annoying consoles.

For USB, it must obviously be careful not to exceed the 0dB input otherwise it lâche.En same time the USB is digital so it seems logical. That said I just used the usb, but the result was correct.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3-4 years. It is solid, as long as we take care of course. Yet Kool Sound is not a brand known for its quality, but I was pleasantly surprised CSSA. She travels everywhere, in conditions not always obvious, and does not flinch. Sometimes potentiometers crack but once KF special contacts and it is gone. Individuals appreciate rental for its simplicity. I appreciate the two master outputs a and b, which allows me to manage front and one or two potential returns. The four-way phono / line are a nice touch also. And of course the balanced XLR outputs is a key criterion.

Least, is the lack of pre-listening on mic channels.

A model similar in all respects are in Audiophony: the digital usb club.

With the experience I do it again this choice without hesitation. It was widely made profitable.
