Roland FR-1 V-Accordion
By RickD on 10/09/2008
So new that no picture is available at the time of writing, the Roland FR-1 is the latest and most affordable addition to the V-Accordion range. While this impressive entry-level instrument has many of the features of the larger V-Accordion models, its compact size and weight make it the perfect instrument for young players or stage use.
The FR-1 combines the familiar sounds and nuances of a traditional accordion with the versatility of a modern digital musical instrument. Not only can you simulate up to seven different accordions, you can also create your own unique timbres and tuning systems including some amazing organ sounds using the four organ presets (Harmonic Bar) complete with rotary effect.

You can plug directly into an external sound system or recording device, while the headphone socket is ideal for silent practise. More than 5 hours of battery life will set you free in any situation. The FR-1 is simple to use, fun to play and at just 5.5kg, is the most lightweight and portable V-Accordion yet.
