«  Compete with JBL 4311! »

I needed compact speakers for mixing and monitoring that can also be used for the live in a bar or restaurant.
I bought new $ 400 with 2 XLR and 2 feet Samson. In short, France is not found in these prices. It was on Amazon U.S. and there was anyway to port $ 70, shipped to Texas.

The power is 50W RMS, but beware, there it goes!
A 25% if I put the mp3 player at the bottom is too hard on a recent song.

XLR and RCA inputs, detented volume on-off silent, subtle correction + / - two bands. For full details see the website JBL.

SOUNDS

I listened to all the monitors in Paris before I decide, from 200 € the pair X000 € each. I listened to all the m * HERD surcôtées best known, and I weigh my words when I say this: Genelec, Mackie, M-Audio, ADAM, etc..
I went with a buddy who is also in the sound since 1996 and has been training engineers in SAE because I trust his ears (the only): He has confirmed listening to each other product, they found the same defects.
Adam: horrible, mediums and no serious tear.
Genelec: no media.
Dynaudio BM15a: very very disappointing.
Dynaudio BM15: quite frankly!
PMC: Funky (best of all, but too large, passive and too expensive)

In short, everything was shit, really suck, except BM15 passive PMCs and ... to my astonishment, the little JBL equipped with 5 ".

They go down to 43Hz! Compared with the big JBL 4311 Studio Monitor buddy engineer (these are the former speaker of a large studio in Paris), well I think my little 2325P have little to envy. Perhaps even more dynamic ... they are sending more than 25% as its big with a 2x275W amp to 50%.
The only thing better on the 4311 comes from the third way: the spectrum is better served, it sounds more balanced.

I find neutrals, not aggressive in the midrange or treble, which is super rare in itself (see also B & W DM602 for mids and highs of hell).

The sound of thunder seems to me, I dare not imagine what gives the 2328P model with 8 "!
There is a lot more bass than my B & W DM 602S2 yet larger and equipped with a woofer also wider, with a large vent in front and above all it comes down much lower.

They support high volumes very well and seem to remain neutral at all volumes.

OVERALL OPINION

I heard everything before choosing them, there is that PMC to do better.
Avoid what the press talking about almost all the most popular models have flaws rhédibitoires apart BM15 passive which is correct. However, I prefer the JBL. If you need bigger, take 2328P.

I love everything about these speakers, they are brilliant, really. The value for money is just crazy when you consider that these speakers are the mini scraped to expensive "references" commercial.

Know that if you take monitors, passive versions are much better and does not blow with the original volume to zero, which is the case for all active, including the 2325P but low enough not to be annoying (I did not say that one day because my previous amp did not blow, even to the bottom of its 80W RMS - an Onkyo Integra - and I attached importance bcp).

I strongly recommend them and I highly recommend avoiding other. Otherwise, bah ... you only get what you deserve. Learn to listen. If you like Genelec proximity, bah you have nothing to do with the sound in my opinion, and Adam, bah if you like them, you have more than the transplant ears.
