Quick description: it has 8 tracks with each track:

- Volume, pan, send 1, 2 send via potentiometers

- Mute, Insert, AFL via buttons with indicator light
Virtually everything is plugged in DB25 was taken behind the following (everything is balanced):

Input, Insert, Send, Insert Return, Aux Output, Direct Output

The only non DB25 connections are the master (XLR) and the PSU

Everything is rack and does a unit height, no automation
For routing, as appropriate (mixing, recording, or 2) we can always get by plugging has an insert some entries (this allowed me to remove my patch studio)

It can be pretty clean if you type too much into it, but if we start doing a bit saturating the op amp 2520 (those who have made fame and its API) present begin to "sing" and worth it

Very punchy in the low mids, the snares stand out really well and with respect to a mix in the computer means much better separation of elements, and fewer conflicts between the frequencies.

There is definitely a "sound API which affects the signal, but always in the best sense -

OVERALL OPINION

I second flight for approximately 1 year

I also have a SSL X Desk, and I could try summing TUBETECH quickly

I would do without hesitation, that choice may be taking a complete solution by adding an API 8200 for having 16 tracks and in eqs lunchbox, but I did not have the budget yet.

In comparison, the SSL seems to me more soft and feels like a little round the signal (cons super headroom can really go into the red before she stumbles), the API is much more aggressive, especially in low medium.

After that depends on your style of mixing the sound you want, but the percussion is really my favorite

The value for money is very good when you look at any other branded product and the results obtained, we pay expensive but it has quality
