Dave Smith Instruments has announced that their Prophet '08 Synthesizer Module is now shipping.
Designed to parrot the sounds of its predecessors, we're told that the Prophet '08 adds in a handful of new features. It has an expanded modulation matrix and more modulation sources: three envelopes and four LFOs per voice.
It's also packed with a gated 16x4 step sequencer, an arpeggiator, split or stacked key modes with separate stereo outputs per layer and rack ears.

- Classic, real analog sound—including legendary Curtis analog low-pass filters—married to a modern feature set
