The MS-20 Mini fits perfectly into my home studio and I am very happy I purchased it. The price was not that bad at all either considering what it cost to purchase some analog synths these days. With no presets, no memory and no sequencing I can see why some would not want to bother with a synth like this. But it is well worth it, and it is very...
If you are into weird sounds and analog synths, I recommend shopping around to get your hands on one of these synths. I used it with a mini keyboard that only had 29 keys but that was all that I needed at the time. The sounds from this synth are used by many current musicians like The Who and others. I am also able to get some really good sound ...
The price is also very affordable and the support that Mutable Instruments provides is also very good. I have been using it for about 6 months and everything is built to last a long time and all 20 knobs are well made.
I recommend getting this without a doubt to anyone who can afford to purchase it. It is very expensive and probably just belongs in a larger studio. Or if you are a Moog lover I would pay any amount of money (if I had it) for this board to be in my house.
The Space delay is by far the best part about it, you can get some analog echo sounds that will shock you. The built in speaker is decent, but it is not that good. It will work for just messing around though. Though it only has 1 true effect (space delay) you can manipulate that effect many different ways to do some really cool stuff with it. I...
Love everything about MEK and it was offically discontinued in June, 2012, however technical support from DSI is pretty awesome that other companies, big and small should take note of as an example of a company with true passion for what they create. The Poly evolver and desktop are still in production. I purchased the MEK now because this is de...
So every single sound that it makes you will have to create. That could push some of the beginners away , but if you are a seasoned producer and understand working with analog synths this is a must have for your collection. The distortion on the MiniBrute is pretty good, it is called the Brute Factor. You will not be unhappy if you purchase this...
It takes no effort at all to get a good thick sound with the Moog Little Phatty Stage II. I love this synth and it gets used about 6 times a week now. It is 3 years old and still looks brand new. It is built to last and it is very portable.
Overall it could have had some MIDI connections and some presets in a perfect world. But you are getting a great dual oscillator analog synth for 50 dollars. You will have fun with it none the less, and enjoy learning to work with sounds the way it was originally done many years ago. This is a perfectly priced unit, and it weighs less than a pou...
You will love this if you are into vocoding, but that would be the only reason that you would want to purchase it. If I bought it , it would just take up space and be a waste of money. I don’t like vintage vocoders because newer vocoders can do so much more.
