News items Ernie Ball's New Coated Strings
Ernie Ball announced the addition of four new phosphor bronze acoustic sets to their line of coated Slinkys.
The phosphor bronze wrap wire is designed to provide "a rich, warm tone with excellent clarity" according to Ernie Ball.
All wound strings are treated with a thin layer of enamel designed to prevent decay and corrosion. The plain strings are reinforced with a winding of titanium wire, preventing string breakage and string slippage.
"The feel and sound of uncoated sets is maintained, with the added protection," Ernie Ball assures.
