The phosphor bronze wrap wire is designed to provide "a rich, warm tone with excellent clarity" according to Ernie Ball.

All wound strings are treated with a thin layer of enamel designed to prevent decay and corrosion. The plain strings are reinforced with a winding of titanium wire, preventing string breakage and string slippage.
