Winter NAMM 2012 News
In the end, if you already like Sonar, then you are going to have a blast with X1, if you do not, this may convert you, but many of the complications are still there. Again, with all digital audio workstations, it is a matter of preference, but it is especially so with X1.
In the end, SONAR is a very comprehensive suite that one really cannot know from a review whether it suits them or not. The truth is, I cannot really give any input on how this program flows, and you must find the program that works the best for you.
I held off purchasing Rapture for about 2 years after it debut in the soft synth world, however after viewing Computer Music's recent Top 10 Software Synthesizers special video with Rapture coming in at 7, I decided to go ahead and buy it. At first glance right off the bat after I purchased it I could tell it was going to be a great software, an...
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the FA-66. I couldn’t ask for much more from this compact interface, I am really not a fan of the color though. I would like to see it in black or a dark blue. It kinda stands out and can look pinkish. But besides the color its perfect. Also, This interface works well in Linux using Jack with the Freebob driver. ...
Overall I used it for a bout a year and thought it was a great music creation software and I don’t regret my decision when purchasing it, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The interface is pretty good and very well put together everything is very easy and accessible. I haven’t tried any other cakewalk productions before this one so this one open...
I first used Cakewalk Sonar 4 Studio Edition about four years ago or so. Like I said before, I got it so I could shoot it out with a few other digital audio workstations, including Pro Tools and Cubase. While I decided that this was my least favorite of the three, it is still a powerful piece of software that can do most of what any other digita...
I got Cakewalk Guitar Tracks about nine years ago and have since stopped using it because I have upgraded. For the time, this worked fine for me to record a few tracks and use some effects for my guitar, but looking back there are a lot of sequencers out there that are better, including Pro Tools, Cubase & Logic. The price of this was what drove...
To be honest I could get used to Sonar. I come from Logic Audio 5.5.1 and I still have problems with Sonar's shortcuts although they are freely configurable. The habit is too strong! I'm waiting for the new v8 demo version to check if the ASIO compatibility is better. If it's not the case I will simply buy another sequencer. It make...
It seems intuitive to use. I don't get a sentimental feeling about it, though. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: Unknown ( 3-, 2004)
I love this product. I realize I've given it straight 10's across the board, but I really think it deserves it. I can't think of any way its restricted or hindered me. It totally revitalized my interest in making and producing music. Its incredible in every way, it definitely compares to Logic and Pro Tools and is half the price. If you're a PC ...
