I use LJ Martin for several year in mid PRO is super reliable and super full. At worst it's your computer Thomann who plants and he shall be immediately replaced by any other computer (not as an MA or BIG HOG III) ... do not forget to save (BACKUP) rguli larly your "SHOW" or "CONFIG" 1 or 2 external media (eg USB stick) ...
This new version of Thomann LJ (and DMX USB case) is best rvolutionne USB key with "One-Key" (which serves license). You can install it on as many computer LJ (Consulta: Windows 7 - 64 bit) you want, but to use the DMX USB duo box Thomann you will associate the USB stick "One-Key" provided.
The addition of the 3D viewer MSD5 + is a real even if it is trial version (45 days) and must then pay if you want to use (envrion € 150.00 / year). And the USB stick "One-Key" is also essential the use of Thomann MSD5 (license).
LJ will let you use 6 DMX universes (ie 3 boxes) but only up to 100 devices !!!

Finally, a track-ball will be very convenient for dplacement of PAN and TILT your automatic and for the "FOLLOWINGSPOT."
I for the accuracy of all video your computer must have a video card with at least two outputs (what has been most PC laptops last generation) but for 3 notches A video card will certainly supplmentaire ncessaire !!

CONCLUSION: LJ Thomann never replace a HOG 4 or MA GRAND but for many configurations other than ZENITH, and BERCY STADIUM FRANCE, LJ is a very good compromise with multiple functions, it is very intuitive and relatively easy to use and grip, it will be perfect for Thomann small, medium or large installations see orchestras tournes ... Light Jockey USB in and out or 2x out, is a terrible tool for light. Many possibilities, macros, assignable hotkeys are possible. If the well stocked library of projectors is not sufficient enough, it can create its own projector, colors, gobos, etc ...

In practice, this software is fairly simple once you understand its logic.

However, it is unacceptable that today you can buy this interface / software and it is not available for the Windows Vista 64bit. It is partially compatible for 32bit. Today the trade no longer offers as laptops or desktop with Vista and soon the famous Seven. It took me to change my computer (a few months before the purchase of LJ), so I took a turn very competent with two large screens to view all windows simultaneously. But surprise surprise, LJ2 not compatible ... I therefore just run it on Vista 32bit, and I do not have all the software functions, including the insertion of cues on mp3 or other media to sync.

Sunlite (which is what it is ...) is available in all Windows versions, 32 or 64bit ...

So for compatibility because LJ2 seems outdated compared to today's technology, we can not put a high note. Yet it is a killer when it is well known to use them ...
