    Amazing Micro

    Recording Tools MC-900Published on 04/24/13 at 08:51
(This content has been automatically translated from French)
    Micro atypical studio!
It is a condenser microphone made in China most likely, but with a capsule-type C12 (no central point).
This is an original choice (and certainly more expensive): 34mm RK12 capsule types (such as the C12 or C414).
Very low level of noise. Cardioid only.
Good mechanical level (solid brass body, curved grille, knurled rings), transformerless output circuit rather elaborate, the converter bias voltage using three transistors, capacitors in the signal path are WIMA and the pair of FET 2SK30 input reduces noise FET. Connectors between two printed circuit boards (farewell cable clutter stashed under the PCB ;))
Comes with original suspension (hard suspension).

    OVERALL OPINION

Purchased in late 2012 following articles on the U.S. forums, I'm pretty surprised by the overall quality of this inexpensive microphone (99 euros).

Likes: The sound: a serious coverage, a balanced medium-high and not garish like many capsules made in China, and that goes a little sharp ... not bad at all, will not suit all voices and can be a little sensitive to sibilance. Personally I find it excellent on winds and right hand accordion, melodica ... and character, it sounds "different"!
Its price, surprising for a microwave of this range.

I like least: its strange suspension (but it's part of different side??)

I took several microphones for the park, and it will not sit in boxes.
