Well, I use traktor since its first version, and I followed her with intrts revolutions. This version is the option of Controller DEFINITIONS noon. This means that if you want to mix with the mouse and keyboard will be stretched plutt! I think the interface is super search. You whining a bit before finding any. Oh yeah, and also having to assign your deck before using the effects or anything that is super compelling, see super sucks. But all those little worries disappear with time, i just get used too much mix and Jam ...

I use it for a week.
My favorite is the full MIDI control, Feel like, that allows you to play as the mouse for me blah!
    It not miss anything!
I try MixMeister previously, and really can feel the difference!
Precisely with the annif NI, it's affordable, as also not for someone not pro, not easy!

A Vestax VCI-100 is expected to top it off soon.
The installation obviously poses no particular concern, but the activation is now done via the Internet (version 3.2). The configuration I have not been a problem not more, being accustomed to long audio apps and bump in the info. But for a profile DJ outright, actually nothing but the routing can cause worries. But version 2, was already the case ...

After a year in Traktor 3, I took out a version 2.62 (the last 2) and 2.53 (the most stable 2.X), can not be as effective as in version 3, helping habits.

Traktor 3 has better MIDIS messages, with the added bonus of outgoing messages to light the LEDs for some controllers. The library to me is more readable than before and new messages MIDI just allow me to browse it with the knobs of the DJ Console. The use of filters and effects seem easier in Traktor 3. The appearance is much more customizable to my liking than version 2.

    GETTING STARTED

However, it is clear that the gourmet version 3 is in hardware, particularly in terms of RAM, since a laptop HP Athlon XP 1800 + / 512 MB RAM, it'll still only 70 Mos physical. That is enough, but it should not be fun to launch other programs (audio). This is partly because Traktor 3 can cache (RAM) part of each MP3 (so imagine on 4 decks). For work without latency and CPU resources without snacking, I've added a M-Audio Firewire 410 which allows me to work quietly with a latency of 5.5 ms.

Apart from the comparison with previous versions, I think Traktor 3 is the most complete software market and in its category.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

    Hyper stable
    Athlon XP1800-portable HP + / 512 RAM Mos / M-Audio Firewire 410
    Barebone-Shuttle ST20G5 Athlon64-3500 + / 1.256 Gos RAM / HD Audio 7.1 + M-Audio Firewire 410
-Portable (work) Acer Travelmate Pentium Mobile 1.6 Ghz / 512 Mos / M-Audio Firewire 410

Test expected soon on a Macbook but we already expect problems with version 3.2 and Intel Core 2 Duo ...

    OVERALL OPINION

    The highlights are:
    -A friendly interface and customizable
    Management-a fairly extensive MIDI
-Icecast streaming of your session mix (OGG): ideal for reaching an audience at the other end of the world
    -Effects simple but effective
    -4 Decks
    Loops-perfect
    -The display of waveforms

    Cons:
    -Devours RAM
No returns, no signal to turn the LEDs on the controllers Hercules (DJ Console, DJ Control MP3)
    No management-VST
    Or no-sampler samples launcher

    GETTING STARTED

Installation is simple, no incompatibility problems of ... no options wacky ... it's ok at this level

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

-> I t surprised by the quality of audio Traktor. Unlike some apps (not to mention virtual DJ), the audio engine of frquences crunches on the sound, here with traktor, the sound comes out crystal, many are not necessarily the difference, but it is pr feel, the sound normment potato with traktor.

-> The effects are dmoniaques. Traktor does not support VST but it does not matter (more than stability. There is a flanger, filter, beatmasher, delay, reverb ... a battery hair you need to customize his mixes, and the audio quality is still at the appointment (NI inside).

-> WARP function. Prs N'tant not stall my sounds by hand (I have not quite prcis controller), I expect the software to do it perfectly and l. .. This is not always perfect, it is often necessary to correct (or x2 / 2) ... It is sometimes also manually adjust the grid ... But with practice it's going to rev faster, and these options are easily accessible. The waveform is clear enough to be able to find the tempo of any song in 30sec with exprience ...

-> The amount of memory load is customizable. For example you choose "20mb", the audio engine load 20mb around the Transport bar, which ensures a minimum memory load while allowing seamless looping and reverse with no latency. I also much apprci the cot "light" of Traktor. No skins superfluous, everything here is gr for the software remains fluid in all circumstances (no pet audio).

    OVERALL OPINION

    In the end

+ Excellent audio quality (the best I've seen a software mix)
+ Dmoniaques effects (flanger, beatmasher, delay, reverb, filters ... all are usable and of excellent quality.
+ WARP (manually find the tempo of a song) prsence facilitated by a grid, a function that looks for a point prcis BPM of the song ... For the final mix a synchronized simplifibr /> + Trs stable and lightweight trs in resources: the amount of RAM that the software will use is selected! Also ca has no impact on latency!

    - No Sampler
    - The interface too much clutter and a long passage ncessite force by customization, both at the interface to configure midi ...
    ------------

In the end I would recommend it to DJ's who mix dj on vinyl or CD and who wish to spend on a support numrique. However, I deprecated the beginners who will find the interface to be too complicated and Drout.

    GETTING STARTED

The install? No worries if we take the time to track messages. The update utility with NI goes well. Such, read the display and let your impatience in the closet. 3.4.1.040 fixes the update stuff but ok to start a drive prob message appears every time ... A click on continue and I have not seen any impact of this problem, so I pass.

It's a real book this manual. It is super detailed and IS FRENCH! It's so rare! He also translations in the text to the English expressions because the menu software is in English. I say shame but with translations of the book no worries. And it's not English university that is very basic. Except to find a special feature not need the manual in the near future.

The prog is intuitive desire and philosophy is very traditional for a PC used to the environment and the mix on several decks because there are 4 assignable even to readers of my PC (decks C and D are for that) convenient for guests discs.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Gaffe the settings on the RAM! But we do not make an omelette without breaking eggs ...
Mine runs on XP SP3: RAS! It is also made to Vista from the site NATIVE INST ... Verified by another user ... For now I'm happy with my config.
Anyway in the evening you do not pollute with unnecessary progs so the RAM will suffice but if you use a lot of memory with effects loops etc. need to experiment before the big night. But after that I made him do it good! 4 loops with effect from 16 beats on 4 turntables max both in sync ... He did not smoke yet ... mdr

    OVERALL OPINION

For three weeks at 4 hours / day. I grinds, I look for the fault! Whether it is tile. It must be set at the beginning (the help manual if necessary) there are subtleties chiadées well cool. It runs with a sound card exter EDIROL FA-101: nickel out the 4 plates on a console

For the price I jumped at the OCCAZ when I saw that summer was on sale for 50% (€ 99) But I was still prepared to put € 250 because it's been awhile since I the watching! Such a product for € 200 or € 250 I think it's very honest more than NATIVE INST still has its precedence in the signal processing ... It's not the bleuzaille who tells it ...

VIRTAL DJ and other programs that run with hard ... It's true it also works since I started over there ... but that's what my soul, the wasting space with unnecessary visual
It may be pretty but instead they could have, as NATIVE INST think they work surface in a more "pro" and it allows for functional features more readable.
It is obvious that the designers of this crazy prog are or have been DJ or at least have been hyper sensitive to the needs of DJs because we feel the key business of ergonomics.

A remake? Oh yes, even without the promotion summer is totally hooked!

The demo is well done to try before you buy without worry.

I personally love it but the tastes and colors ... Otherwise DARK and takes this beast of compet available to enthusiasts as the regulars!

But beware TRAKTOR3 is not everything you need bumps anyway ...
Hula, j'te feel disappointed! Not j'rigole! Good mix, have fun!

Currently, Traktor is running on a computer-based Intel Core 2 Duo E2160, 3 GB of rams, and other odds and making it a modern PC and PC powerful enough to run this software.
Only trouble, having purchased more than Traktor, sound card ESI U46SE, the sound card drivers are faced various troubles me. Because I also have a Creative Xtreme Gamer sound card. But Traktor is nothing to see inside.

The software is fairly stable, but it is not in Traktor, but Windows XP that is causing me some problems on my pc.
I have a friend who uses Mac, with EKS XP5, the same sound card, zero worries.
It runs like a Swiss clock.

    GETTING STARTED

On this side, no real worries, a sound card from Creative Xtreme Gamer (I feel like I'm going to run to my sister).
For cons, I find it unfortunate that I can not fully use the sound card properly:
    - As headphone preview
    - Output 1 / 2, 3 / 4, 5 / 6 on master general (matter can exit), if someone would have the solution ...

The manual not read it yet, but I'd have to do it.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

On my computer, the only trouble is that Windows XP is not very stable.

I have a recent configuration, a base Intel E2160, Gigabyte GA-G33-DS3R, 3 GB RAM DDR2 667mhz, a hard disk system and 80 GB hard drive 320 GB Data

Performance? Mix of 4 decks (for fun), a small 15-20% of maximum consumption of performance.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use version 3.4.1 of then one day. Before I had version 2.6.1.
There has been improvement over the old version, that his silk-level interface, function, and auto-sync.
Would not the fact of the auto-sync, I'm DJ, I am mixed on vinyl and sync a song without gadgets, but the auto-sync allows you to concentrate on the public and creativity.

I really appreciate the software interface, customizing the software pushed.
However, I regret the sonogram, that of Virtual DJ is good, because superimposing the two diagrams.

I broke the piggy bank, ie € 100 for having a legal license, updates, and knowing that it is illegal to make a profit with a software pirate, this is a DJ .. .
I hesitate not to repeat this choice, the software is huge.
The sound is very good. The software is reactive.
I would hesitate with Serato can be (but the concept is different), can be seen with the future software will be developed by Serato and Ableton ...

I use it now with a Vestax VCI 100 (very good tool for that matter) but only several months after acquiring traktor.

No problem using a time we spent a few hours on it.

interface may put off some very promising but we must persevere and within hours we begin to understand this beautiful beast

    - What is so special that you like most and least? : + The many features and the interface is very clear and very professional. - A problem sometimes with the BPM counter

    - Value for money is fine for a second purchase

this choice I would do with pleasure

Native Instruments Traktor DJ Studio 3Published on 03/22/10 at 10:14
I purchased this plugin to use when I DJ weddings and other similar events. There are a lot of DJ software out there. The reason I chose the Native Instruments Traktor was because I have used a lot of there software and have always been satisfied. My setup contains a Macbook laptop, presonus Firebox interface, and a pair of EV Powered speakers and a Sub. The only thing I use this for is mixing in MP3's and Wave files.

My setup contains a Macbook laptop, presonus Firebox interface, and a pair of EV Powered speakers and a Sub. The only thing I use this for is mixing in MP3's and Wave files.

    GETTING STARTED

I have never had any compatibility issues using this software. A crash or hiccup in the audio can be very very bad for a DJ especially when it is for something formal like a wedding. I have used this several times and never had any problems what so ever. Yes, the manual was clear and helped me get comfortable with the interface. I have never used real hardware gear to DJ, in fact, I only got into Djing wedding because I have most of the PA equipment necessary. After spending a few hours with this plugin, I was ready to go. At first glance it looks very complicated. But once you start getting used to finding music on you computer/ext hdd through the program and what exactly each button/slider in the interface does, you pretty much have it figured out. Yes, the typical function lie right in front of you for easy access.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Yes, no crashes and any sets I have created are always stored and recalled properly. Yes, and it better stay that way. I give it a 10 out of 10 for performance. It functions flawlessly and makes my life so much easier when it comes to mixing awful music for weddings, haha. I have been using Traktor for about a year now.

    OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this plugin is the ability to auto mix music. This is nice as it allows me to load five or six songs and take a bathroom/smoke/food break and keep the music going. I guess the only thing I don't like about this plugin is the small little field you get for finding songs on you computer. Its not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to be able to expand it. Although, maybe you can and I haven't figured it out yet. I paid $200 for this unit and I am happy with that price. It has made DJing a lot easier and has paid for itself. Well, I primarily deal with MP3's and they sound just as good coming out of Traktor as they do iTunes. No, I haven't tried any other models besides this one. Yes, I like this software so I would definitely buy it again if I needed to.
