Yamaha LL16

Yamaha LL16Published on 01/25/05 at 15:00
I bought this guitar in germany for 599 euros. It is made in taiwan and is handcrafted (written on leather). The quality of the woods is incredible.
solid engelman spruce top, solid east indian rosewood back and sides, ebony fretboard and bridge, gold plated locking tuners (stays in tune forever),a very good bag.I think that the combination of the woods,is the best it can be,exept brazilian rosewood for back and sides. The sound is brilliant and ballanced perfectly.Great sustain, lots overtones, and very loud.

The sound is what i like the most.It is the best guitar i ever played (playing for 30 years). It simply sounds like a pro guitar should. Can't believe that they make this for 599 euros.

There's nothing to dislike.

Everything is perfectly matched. The neck is 3ply mahogany-rosewood-mahogany.The quality is first class as the materials.

If you are out for a guitar in the pricerange of 600euros don't look any further. At any pricerange?Just give a shot.Maybe i was lucky but the sound is outstanding. The best I played or heard and I played and heard many good guitars like martins, taylors, takamines, ovations.

Very good guitar!

Purchased in late 2005, is largely hand in Taiwan, according to the specs of Yamaha Corp.: great guitar aging well, and that price is Top!

UTILIZATION

The tuners are OK, very good finish, with just the varnish too fine hair, and not super polished frets on the edges of the handle: it's easy lime if necessary ..
Intonation, string height = nickel, no buzz, even with a capo!
The handle is very easy to play fluid and effortless.

SOUNDS

The sound is very balanced, natural bass, clear highs well: it sounds. (Personally, I prefer the sound of his dear elder + LL26)
The finger picking, arpeggios are almost divine!
Good solid wood box is sending, and struming is very correct.

Note: I would have put € 80 more for the bridge saddles Head + in OS, for even a hair + harmonics!

OVERALL OPINION

At the time (2005), I was willing to put up to € 2,500 to "replace" my proper guitar 3250FF 1990 (500 €). So I could try some well known brands including American M. 1500 € which was far behind ... also 2 Canadian T. (ÉlectroAc, funky sleeves) but not less bass and more harmonics at 2300 €, and another model with low ditto, but harmonics Top level .. 3400 €!
Pretty discouraged .. but ultimately a seller offered me this LL16 ... THANKS: I fell for this guitar before you know the price, I'm super excited live away with it!
(I "electrified" later with 2 sensors Piezo + 1 Electret MIC)

The handle 16 of the LL, as all models of this new series of L yamaha trs is fine and offers good maneuverability by consquent. Hand made vrtitablement body with the handle. It is easy then to play bass notes with your thumb. In addition, as part of three (one layer of mahogany between two rosewood), the handle is extremely stable.
CHAC is difficult to acute insofar as there is no cutaway. The models only offer the Electroacoustic. Know that there is no equivalent of electro MODEL LL 16. It is a dreadnought, it's a sr but is more like a jumbo as the body is large, particulirement the rear of the guitar. This is the reason why this guitar delivers a sound of intensity and remarkable finesse.

SOUNDS

Slam treble, the bass is round and Submitted mdiums just right. This guitar is quite versatile but is intended to accompaniments and arrangements arpges. N'tant not a fan of solos, I can not help you. In open tuning, it is well aware of the sustain of the guitar. The guitar vibrates, giving reasons and its potential.

OVERALL OPINION

This guitar has a massive Fully report quality price hard to beat in this price range. I use it just for 2 months and believe me, a life-changing to have a beautiful instrument. It is in addition to a remarkable finish Aesthetics trs treats confirming the talent of Yamaha. It comes with a gig bag very practical. Need I say more on this guitar if I redeem my eyes closed.

All lovers of fine stringed instruments will sduits by LL16. Beautiful has 20 frets. In terms of pure CHARACTERISTICS, you need to know is that it's a massive guitar Fully: Engelmann spruce for the table, rosewood for the back and wicker covers. Button and bridge bne ... The combination of pica Engelmann (a little softer than other picas) shuffled at Rosewood is supposed to bring sweetness and heat. At the dam is a dam that provides a wide equilibrated in the Torah.

UTILIZATION

The handle is easy to handle and smooth trs. So that you can easily go the other cargo dun worry-free. In terms of shape and weight, requires solid wood, the guitar is a bit heavier than a guitar plate. It is not monstrously heavy. Then the level of form is a hybrid crosses between a dreadnought and jumbo. J'tais even when some of the back catalog tonn "jumbo" as Yamaha calls it dread. Anyway the shot in the arms after several hours of play ben we tend to feel good! But still a honntement Grable. Regarding the sound, enough to flatten a floor to agree. In rhythm and arpges it works great. I use D'Addario phosphor bronze strings mdium but all it will! Open in B or D gives his mortal: D

SOUNDS

It is well suited my style of music "Aimee Mann", "Chris Isaak", "Jenny Lewis" but Jack Johnson and the blues I'll have another guitar with more medium. Well I must say that when I reu for I Command Playback on Guitar, j'tais moderately satisfied with the sound. I find it a little too crystalline, lack of personality. Quite a good round but must say what is a guitar does not rvle on all its possibilities. Strings and the weather are a lot. t was from this that I have and I can say that the sound volumes. It has a better projection arpges level, personality and level it starts earning a lil thing! Well I fell in love with this guitar. t was not love at first sight but as and when you realize all of its quality. Such as the sustain, but also its "sound" trs own and that was not ringing true when chords to me 12 freight. We feel we're on a great guitar that takes time to improve. The bass is super deep and treble are not aggressive and remain crystalline. As against a level mdium stuck a little. I do not think she will win over time. The quilibrage is correct but when I want to do an open agreement of the style (x 0 7 5 0 x) the bass and treble are a bit on top mdiums. Trs is subjective and may be that if there would have been more than a given one of his pan. A phrase that résumé well the sound of that guitar "is felt and prcis time."

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since August. What I like about it is its simple and Aesthetics class. You feel lousy trs ct. Its his hat and end time. Particulire form. His musical color. The price is really excellent (I pay 679 on Playback and I reu with a superb gig bag). This is when even a guitar that has the wood species of luxury for a really low price compared with the quality of exprience of 6 months, I must say that I do not regret my choice . However, I am attracted to irrsistiblement Seagull S6 (I've never had a guitar in cedar) and tempt me well complter my collection. But in its field of comptence this guitar can compete with the greatest! In addition to a microphone rose Dean Markley I'm not saying the killing! Dj I tried this mic on a folk quality infrieur has not give the same thing. I can only recommend to try it as given that the sound is subjective trs. If you your lover a gentle guitar in cedar or mahogany may work better for you but if you are looking for a compromise between softness and shine, LL16 has a good chance you sduire ...
