TeamDNR Cinematic Loops
By TonyBruno on 11/20/2009 at 07:28:00
TeamDNR has announced the release of version 1.0r4 of MixControl, including the first Windows x64 and Mac OS X VST3 versions, and Cinematic Loops, a new multi-format percussion library.
Changes and additions in MixControl v1.0 r4 include:
  • Mac OSX VST3 version.
  • Win x64 version.
  • New skins included.
  • [FIX] Compressor SC Tooltip was overlapping.
  • [FIX] EQ value text was displaying purple.
  • [FIX] A/B function was not copying stereo tool.
  • [FIX] Drop down menu was breaking up with long names.

Cinematic Loops is a collaboration between TeamDNR and Sleepless Soundworks. It offers "innovative, evocative, cinematic grooves" (Styles) in 24bit/48kHz, with tempos ranging from 65 to 136 BPM, according to the company. Formats are Wave, Apple Loops, Rex2 and exs24 (the latter with Midifiles).

Each Style is offered in full version, a NoKick version (the whole groove minus the bass drum), and in Construction Kits: each element/beat of each groove is provided as a separate element, so you can combine and re-combine any of them to produce new grooves, thanks to the Apple Loops and/or Rex formats.

The exs24 version is designed to allow you to go way deeper in groove deconstruction as each loop is sliced by its smallest rhythmic division, then chromatically mapped across the MIDI keyboard, and provided with its corresponding Midifile.

Pricing
Cinematic Loops costs $69.
