How long have you use it?
I have this drumkit since February 2004

What is so special that you like most and least?
c as the quality of materials, their strength ... and then also the sound of course
a bass drum of a truly phenomenal power, clear egg boxes
c least the general balance of the drumkit. drums are not chosen with precision and it shows. Just the color of the wood (more or less pink) shows very well that even if the quality is there, not c DW either.
also some difficulty in resolving tom suspended as soon as the size increases. frankly, avoid the absolute toms suspended for 14 or 16. prefer their bass toms.
Have you tried many other models before buying it?

not.
I based on the reputation of the drumkit and endorsers.

How would you rate the quality / price?

the report is good without being excellent, it nevertheless remains in front of a high-end drumkit. Do not worry, between MMX and SMX, there's no photo, MMX has a more "attractive", more "class".

With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Well, not
this is not a negative, but I do not have that choice would do. Certainly I do not spit on PEARL, on the contrary, but the MMX surprised me the wrong way. despite a beautiful light-volume correction, which supports seriously toms no longer follow the tout.ça top speed in all directions, the sound of the toms is quite strong imbalance and become very very blurry. only the snare and bass drums are monstrous.
I play rock rather powerful and my advice is:
If you are looking for versatility when the drumkit (excellent) is for you.
But if you want the power, precision, prefer a drumkit with thicker drums.
