Bought @ Drummer's Choice Brampton ON Cananda. I was in the market for a new kit and wanted to scale down in size as well as make the switch from birch to maple . Bought em mainly becasue it was such an excellent deal 3 drums standard depths 10" rack tom 14" floor tom (no legs) 20" kick $1100 cdn. I had heard the kit as used by others and was impressed with the sound for the money.

I like every thing about these drums they sound huge for such a small kit. I blame the 4 ply shells, they really sing. The comment I get most often bout these drums is how big a loud they sound. I like every thing about these drums they sound huge for such a small kit. I blame the 4 ply shells, they really sing. The comment I get most often bout these drums is how big a loud they sound. This prasie comes frm fellow drummers fellow musicians and non musicians alike. The main thing I relly like about this kit is it's ability to cut and it's dynamic capabitlities. A bass player I play with borrowed my kit for a session with a side project and his big comment was that he now knew what the difference was between my kit and a lower end model. That difference was just how sensitive these drums were - "You barely have to hit them" was his comment to me.

I really can't say anything bad about these drums. The only thing I don't like is that the finish is inconsistent because the bass drum was used and subsequently yellowed/faded. That's purely an asthetic consideration that I wasn't too concerned about because of the good deal I was getting.

I hope I get this right I beleive that are 4 plies of 1mm maple with reinforcing rings. They make use of Pearls ISS mounting system that clamps onto the rim of the drum. Works fine for what I need.

Not to turn this int oa big promo for Pearl but they are a very good drum for your dollar. All the high end DW, Pork Pie, Noble Cooley , Gretsch et al sound excellent but are VERY expensive. These Drums sound great in the studio and project live.

I use it for 4 months and I can say that the drums have a purpose in Saddle incredible projection.
Before using this drumkit, I have a tama SwingStar jou, a pearl export, and a Yamaha Stage custom.Le price mmx remains trs levmais if you want to be qualitil to pay the price.
Finally, I think the mmx has nothing to envy to dw or other orange county drum.

Particular feature I like most:
The sound!
Deja is the Saddle!
In addition 4-ply reinforced with 4 throws a background in sound!!

What I like least .... I do not know exctement for now I like it REALLY!

Abvant I had some maple Signia.
The sound is as good but at least throw in my opinion.

The price is very high I had the chance to buy a display model but it is true that the price ets very high. However we must not delude ourselves if we want the sound you have to know the price.

With the experience I would do maybe this choice. I have not e not yet possible, nore long enough to be able to say ...
