A small "short scale" very nice, a neck pickup, tone, basic but effective look cool ...

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice, good ergonomics ... parfate for tapping, for example. Head a little too heavy, which switches the instrument.

SOUNDS

Perfect for rock, some seventy ... A big sound very serious, somewhat surprising for the size of the instrument. Quite complementary to my other bass sounds rather modern.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it for my 11 year old daughter who quartered the fingers on my basses. I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound and the handle, it's a real nice instrument to play. At that price, who could ask more?

Oh, and I forgot: she is much prettier in real than in pictures, which does no harm.

I brought my bass from a local guitar shop, it was my second bass. I’ve only been playing for 7 months now but I knew that I already needed a better bass. The EB-0 caught my eye because of the size and color. It was also recommended to me by my uncle as it was his first guitar when he started playing.
The guitar cost me just under £200.


Because the scale is smaller so are the fret’s this makes more technical playing easier. The neck is also very smooth so you can slide well. It has a very nice tone that is lower than on most basses. Also the input jack on the bass is on the front, with most guitars the jack is on the side and so when you put down your guitar it may damage the lead or the guitar.

The tuning pegs are too large and so it is easily put out of tune if you lean it against something, they are also very sensitive and takes some time to get used to. Because it only has a single pickup it is not very loud and has a smaller option of tones to choose from. The hook for the strap is also on the back of the guitar meaning that it slips of easily. because of of the location of the pickup it is hard to play slap and pop on this guitar.

The guitar is very well made and every thing works well. The pickup is very securely fastened and does not jutter or move. It is also easy to adjust the screws on it to make the bridge higher or lower to change the action this is very useful. All The knobs are clearly labeled. The head and tuning pegs are very well made as well and do not buzz like many guitars do after a certain amount of time.

Very nice to play, sounds good loud, fun and easy to play but if you want to play funk then do not buy this guitar.

I paid $250 for this guitar i bought it over the net

I like the short scale but i am a big person and it gets hard to play after a long time. but is a great first guitar or something you would play sitting down.

as i said it's short scale is harder for me. has ALOT of feedback and fret buzz. but most of the buzz can be minimized by messing around with the bridge

i like the guiar alot i'ts kinda heavy very strong finish. i have droped it alot and still no scraches, dings, cracks.

the guitar is good nice for sitting down or using with an acoustic peddal.

Musicians friend, $210. I like Gibson guitars, so I decided my first bass would be an old Gibson SG style... well, then I saw how expensive they were. I found out Epiphone made new ones, so I bought my EB-0

Looks good, High quality. All mahogany. good adjustable bridge, growling sound. Short scale

You can't slap! the string slams into the pickup, and just makes a dull thud. It is impossible to lower the pickup. This limits playing style greatly. It has a bolt on neck, but I kind of like that rather than set in.

Good Mahogany. The tuners stay in tune, no problem with electrics. Slim neck, relatively. nothings gone wrong with it

Don't buy it if you like to slap. I like very much to slap, but the growling sound of this Bass is great. I really like the feel of this bass, I'm buying another bass, probably an LTD, so I can slap.

Bought at local music store (Haight Ashbury Music) in Bay Area for $239. I am an experienced Guitarist (25 yrs) and wanted to learn bass along with my 12 year old daughter. I do expect to use this bass for some small and medium gigs. This is a short scale bass (~30") which makes it easier to play - and it plays and wears like a guitar.



Solid mahogany neck and body with nice finish. Looks good. Rosewood fretboard (I prefer, no shellac to wear off. Pots (vol and tone) work well. Good, sturdy adjustable bridge. Heavy duty tuners. Neck is straight as a laser. Big sidwinder humbucker pickup OK, not exceptional, but allows screw adjustments of each pickup to balance volume between strings. Good fat tone. Tone control has definite impact from skinny to fat. Good action. Fairly light. Easy to play/hold sitting or standing.



Wrestling with getting all the buzz out of the strings (E - 3-5 frets, and G, 4th fret only). Frets are even, but still buzz. May give a bit of bow to the neck to fix. I hear short string basses have looser strings which may account for buzz on E string. I can eliminate buzz by raising bridge - but I want as low an action as possible. Single pickup. Would prefer two - but this is a cost issue. A second could easily be added later. Although neck is rosewood, it is painted/stained. No case with unit. No hard case (with exact fit) available. Gig bag available.



Bridge, nut, neck, body, tuners all good. There is no binding on the neck - but this is a minor cosmetic thing to me. Mahogony body & neck looks much better than your standard painted bass - this is a definite one up in my book. Finish is great. I play an old Gibson SG and this is nearly as good. The pickup seems a little rougher than my SGs. Single piece neck not as good as Laminate neck on my SG, but it is straight and does have the lifetime warranty. Generally looks and feels like a much more expensive instrument -except for the sidewinder pickup (my opinion).



Single pickup. Short scale (has pros and cons) great player Excellent wood/body/neck. Solid hardware. and allows for adjustments. Great price/value. Needs hard case designed for it. Watch for buzzing. Be prepared to re-set up instrument. Try different basses. best short scale bass anywhere near this price range.

I bought a bass amp more Peavey Max 126 Function Vintage Lamp. I confirm that the tool is very nice, the sound is quite apart from the MI, which tends to curl when it is sought picking. This is also true that it is slightly unbalanced when the strap (round pods / table) but it has more impact during use.

UTILIZATION

Channel pleasant and easy. Access to acute hyper easily by cutting Gibson SG.
Ergonomic slight imbalance but that does not harm when playing.
Very good sound with a single microphone, but its a benefit for a rock bass.

SOUNDS

Epiphone IB0 This is great for blues and rock. I use a Peavey Max 126 amp and a Marshall 100 watts.

The sounds are round and the choice of equalization is correct.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month against a Fender Jazz bass
Good sound in fingering, picking less obvious.

The quality / price I paid in Michenaud is incredible! 199 euros for Gibson Epiphone pseudo!

For starters, I'm a guitarist, so I'm not really picky about the comfort of the handle and it is not very pleasant to play first, but we made it good.
