The Fender Deluxe P Bass is a very good bass it has some problems though. when i first got it the action was so high i could put my finger between the strings. after i got it setup i was having problems with the nobs. one totally broke of and took a while to fix. the tuning machines hold their tune all day long playing long studio hours. any when not broken this bass is amazing. it has great tone and a thin neck to make it easy to play.

UTILIZATION

This bass will not let you down. Extremely comfortable to play and good versatility possible with the active EQ and PJ pickups. Setup was dead on from factory and played smooth. Gold pick guard looks nicer then i first thought. Did have a problem with QC, there was a broken pot when it arrived but its all fixed now. Great bass!

SOUNDS

I use it with my fender amp as well, sounds amazing! Fender is the way to go when it comes to basses.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had this base before and used it a ton of times, and I hardly ever pick up any of my other 6 basses any more. If I'm at work, I'll use my acoustic resonator for practice, but now, I'm even plugging in at work with my little headphone amplifier, because this bass is just so comfortable. The neck and action have such a great feel, that the bass becomes an extension of my body, instead of a tool in my hands. The contoured body allows more comfortable showmanship, and it is even more comfortable to play while sitting, as well as standing. The electronics give you a wide range of sounds, from smooth to growl to popping. I think it's a great looking guitar, and if you're ready to step up from the beginner basses, you can't go wrong with this one. I think I'm finally ready to start selling some of my other basses. Thank you Fender for a great instrument at a bargain price
