    UTILIZATION

I love the sleeves kind fender 70 ', so I thought I had a hard time with this large handle.
In fact, not at all, this guitar plays very easily, even by wearing down.
The access to the treble is perfect.
I can not handle all the low-end, contrary to previous opinions,
Moreover, the handle has never moved me, frets (which I find also a quite normal width) did not décolées with hair, unlike many guitars medium.
In fact it is the "Peavey", dull, but very reliable. (We just make this point for their amps, PA systems, etc ... who resist the worst.)
The shape of the guitar is idéale. On do not feel it.

The shape of the guitar is idéale. On do not feel it.
You can wear down, it is very équilibrée.Vraiment a very good point because I'm pretty difficult to top.
THE vibrato is no problem for me, it does move pas.Evidement, initial settings are a bit spécaux.
I put Ernie Ball 10-56 strings, playing with 60 Dunlop picks.
If you have a hit Groos, you can consider taking a ride over.

    SOUNDS

I customized the pickups of the spliter in a way simple.
RAS, they are very accurate, even quite précis.Le split is really very effective, and to the music style or Korn sounds are alternated with small distos large,
    this is very good.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 8 years, I do not play often because I bought it for a 7 string.
Playing a lot with a VG99, I get a rather good results in modeling
bariton.Contrairement has what has been said in previous reviews, I find this guitar a very good bill. (though I have other beautiful guitars) This is not an amateur guitar. It is Peavey gives the label a préjugé.je have nothing bad to say dessus.Je do not like the Ibanez, I really like the look of the more Peavey.
I feel very at ease on it, although I'm not an inveterate play 7-string.
I would therefore 9/10 in value, and 8/10 if one ignores the price.
Would somebody ideal for a guitar that wants to place himself at the 7-string without investing.
Again, Peavey is a serious and reliable brand!

I paid $80 for my pred. off a friend of mine who got it second hand from his friend. that guy probably paid the retail $399. everything about it was in mint condition but the sound was lacking.

after beating the living crap out of it to 'vintage' it, i removed the single coil pickup covers, rebalanced the humbucker, and set-up the entire guitar. the thing plays like a dream now. it's not my favorite, since it is quite heavy, but it has great sonic possibilities. my next project is to rout out the body. hint: paint the headstock and all the hardware gloss black, it looks mad hot!

if you like project guitars, this is a cheap starter with great end results.

I spent $299 on it at a local dealer. I bought it because it was fairly cheap.

Well I like it because it was cheap and I wanted another electric guitar for a spare at gigs. When I played it for the first time I realized just what a great guitar it really was. I even prefer it to my LesPaul and Fender Strat. I has a really even tone on each pickup that I find totally amazing. It was a great surprise to me when I picked it up thinking it was just something to fill the stage racks.

The whammy bar gets in the way, but it is no big deal. I just sold it for a buck and the problem was gone.

This guitar is a perfect match for my Studiopro 112. I really can't justify asking for anything more.

The configuration has been well described in the previous opinion so I will not repeat it.
A key point to note is really not Transcendent (sounds like the plastic look and see .. the plastic to the touch), but because it is a normal low-end guitar.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is quite nice (I used a flat handle and this one ibanez is very close) if it is this quality to the touch (see above): the fingers roam over much but we vraimet feels a beginner guitar frets are funny and fine (but that is not specifically a negative rating)
There is still a good access to acute.

There is still a good access to acute.
But the big problem of this guitar is the tuning fork (length string) which is much too short and therefore difficult to fall into tunings too serious (such as Si or worse in LA) because the guitar loses a lot of precision when 'we fall into "the" the bass string and it sounds fast adjustment. We can then compensate by putting a rope pulling very large (at present I am in a draft of 0.68 that is pulling the first string bass) and then it starts to ring, but another problem comes into play: the first prize which floyd is difficult to settle and supports very large pulling badly.
In short 2semaines settings before starting to play.

    SOUNDS

Will it fit my style? I do not know I bought it to try a seven-string.
With regard to the sound it is very bold, as if we had put mud on the microphones, and I think we need a big back to compensate for distortion. In any case the two peavey humbuckers have a lot of fishing which makes the clean sound awfully aggressive.

    OVERALL OPINION

I own this guitar for 5 months, which is already too much for me who had bought "fallow" in order to try a 7 string. At this price (new € 240 but on sale) it's worth to say I like or not the 7-string.
Now I do not like the scratches with a violin very questionable.
We could compare it to a debutant Jim Harley (6 strings, the first price € 130) in terms of quality, and again.
To borrow a phrase of a connoisseur: "6-string guitars they made a long time and we learned to make them good and cheap, the 7-string they are made for ten years and very low Quantity So the 7-string low-end receives no experience and therefore sounds very very wrong. "
If I had to remake itself in a serious choice for the long-term 7-string? I'm saving to buy an Ibanez (after all it is they who invented the 7-string) or a Ltd.
So much for trying but no more.

Considering the price of the scratch, I think it is made in the USA but come from Asia, at least, it's not marked on it!

    In Agathis, wood guitars cheap!

    2 peavey humbuckers.

21 boxes, floyd tremolo, volume and tone control, 3 positions for microphones.

Bolt, round but not too much, usually thick with réducion down to it is not too large. It looks a bit like a sleeve of thickness ibanez perspective, it is rather nice, but even the central stem at least the strings are off the handle in the high ... and that's not super ...

A big problem: Debtor's floyd. When you remove all the strings it will get stuck so it should shoot like crazy in order to tighten and pinch the new string. So, advice: Remove and replace the strings one at a time, otherwise you will really crap!

    UTILIZATION

The handle is quite nice without being transcendent!
The problem is that if we want the tuning is relatively good you have to climb ropes pulling big ... better a 46 or 48 in such a ... So it is not really easy to play! What's more, despite a few hours setting it is still a bit wrong! Indeed, the handle to a short scale not suitable for tuning in though!

Access to acute is fine, nothing to say to that level. The reduction of the handle makes it more enjoyable in the bass with the sleeves really right.

The shape is really nice, along with classic while remaining somewhat original. Play sitting or standing does not pose much problem. It is a form of strato dysymétrique, and the head is original. The problem is that it is really thick so heavy. If you want it, it is recommended to buy a good strap for not removing the shoulder after half an hour!

Regarding the setting, as it is a tone that is not worth imagining obtain various sounds

Finally, the floyd is an unspeakable horror! Even the best set, it does not hold the tuning. Basically, if you want to be completely false, you have to retune for 5 minutes every 3 pieces!

    SOUNDS

She is very friendly to the neo or death. Given its price, it is the way to have a 7-string without breaking the bank, and as it was when I bought it in 2001, the only brand to offer a first prize in the 7-string choice was quickly done!

For sounds clear the central positions (mainly) or round can get something correctly, or not bad for its price, but it's not a sound strat-far from it! It is round and not unpleasant. Crunches with neck pickups sound pretty good.
For the bridge pickup, I was so fed up of having one's not accurate at all and a storm of feedback that I replaced with a Seymour Distortion 7. It's cleaner, but do not kid ourselves: the most important in the sound of a guitar is the wood! And it is this experience that taught me lol. So a micro switch changes the sound slightly, but not completely!

For the distortion can be something very fat, but you have an amp and a distortion that follow, can amp distortion and really support them, but it is precise enough to make the lead. (I use a preamp engl VOX ADVT 530 or 15, or a spider II 30 watt).

If one has to find a major flaw is that it has a very dug and almost no sustain. For Player Characters désagéable's not alone, but in general we mix is quickly gobbled up by everyone!

After, I had fun at the customize: I sanded the paint and replace it with a base paint and wax. Strangely, since it sounds better: the medium is released, it looks a little more to a real guitar!

    OVERALL OPINION

I used it for 7 years without much complain. Since then I have replaced with a ibanez RG 7620, a real guitar what.
For its price, 7 string, it's really not bad, not really versatile, but very honorable! The value for money is good! I tested its competitor in schecter (diamond omen 7 series), the finish is beautiful but the handle, accuracy, weight and sound are much worse!

With experience and the limited means I had at the time I would do the same choice! En 2000 when I bought it was a steal!

In short if you want a 7 string to try to please (but not more than € 100!) It's good to find out if you want to drop the 6 strings détunées. For my part, I do not think back to a 6, soon!
