I paid $80 for my pred. off a friend of mine who got it second hand from his friend. that guy probably paid the retail $399. everything about it was in mint condition but the sound was lacking.

after beating the living crap out of it to 'vintage' it, i removed the single coil pickup covers, rebalanced the humbucker, and set-up the entire guitar. the thing plays like a dream now. it's not my favorite, since it is quite heavy, but it has great sonic possibilities. my next project is to rout out the body. hint: paint the headstock and all the hardware gloss black, it looks mad hot!

the sheer weight of the body and short scale neck.

nice u shaped neck, feels a lot better after sanding,...…

nice u shaped neck, feels a lot better after sanding, though.

if you like project guitars, this is a cheap starter with great end results.

I spent $299 on it at a local dealer. I bought it because it was fairly cheap.

Well I like it because it was cheap and I wanted another electric guitar for a spare at gigs. When I played it for the first time I realized just what a great guitar it really was. I even prefer it to my LesPaul and Fender Strat. I has a really even tone on each pickup that I find totally amazing. It was a great surprise to me when I picked it up thinking it was just something to fill the stage racks.

The whammy bar gets in the way, but it is no big deal. I just sold it for a buck and the problem was gone.

So far it is a lot more durable than My lesPaul and fender. Peavey has really outdone themselves...…

This guitar is a perfect match for my Studiopro 112. I really can't justify asking for anything more.

UTILIZATION

I love the sleeves kind fender 70 ', so I thought I had a hard time with this large handle.
In fact, not at all, this guitar plays very easily, even by wearing down.
The access to the treble is perfect.
I can not handle all the low-end, contrary to previous opinions,
Moreover, the handle has never moved me, frets (which I find also a quite normal width) did not décolées with hair, unlike many guitars medium.
In fact it is the "Peavey", dull, but very reliable. (We just make this point for their amps, PA systems, etc ... who resist the worst.)
The shape of the guitar is idéale. On do not feel it.

The shape of the guitar is idéale. On do not feel it.
You can wear down, it is very équilibrée.Vraiment a very good point because I'm pretty difficult to top.
THE vibrato is no problem for me, it does move pas.Evidement, initial settings are a bit spécaux.
I put Ernie Ball 10-56 strings, playing with 60 Dunlop picks.
If you have a hit Groos, you can consider taking a ride over.

SOUNDS

I customized the pickups of the spliter in a way simple.
RAS, they are very accurate, even quite précis.Le split is really very effective, and to the music style or Korn sounds are alternated with small distos large,
this is very good.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 8 years, I do not play often because I bought it for a 7 string.
Playing a lot with a VG99, I get a rather good results in modeling
bariton.Contrairement has what has been said in previous reviews, I find this guitar a very good bill. (though I have other beautiful guitars) This is not an amateur guitar. It is Peavey gives the label a préjugé.je have nothing bad to say dessus.Je do not like the Ibanez, I really like the look of the more Peavey.
I feel very at ease on it, although I'm not an inveterate play 7-string.
I would therefore 9/10 in value, and 8/10 if one ignores the price.
Would somebody ideal for a guitar that wants to place himself at the 7-string without investing.
Again, Peavey is a serious and reliable brand!
