I use it when the noise level makes use of a micro impossible. For a good acoustic sound, nothing beats a good mic, in my opinion.
The violin is adequate at best. The ankle is plastic, the bridge is an Aubert, the strings original cast. For repair or customization, not worth thinking about. Bar, the tailpiece and chin rest are specific to the violin, not possible to put other. The key is ultra thin, posing a problem for its rectification. The false splint is fragile ...
The sound is fairly homogeneous, soft, not as loud with a piezo for acoustic violin. It is easy to play. It is light and 2 reverbs are built of good quality, but consume a lot. Beware of batteries! Little breath.
How would you rate the quality / price? With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Je l'utilise quand le niveau sonore rend l'utilisation d'un micro impossible. Pour un bon son acoustique, rien ne vaut un bon micro, à mon avis.
La lutherie est correcte, sans plus. Les cheville sont en plastique, le chevalet est un Aubert, les cordes d'origine à jeter. Pour la réparation ou la personnalisation, pas la peine d'y penser. La barre, le cordier et la mentonnière sont spécifique au violon, pas possible d'en mettre d'autres. La touche est ultra fine, ce qui posera un problème pour sa rectification. La fausse éclisse est fragile...
Le son est assez homogène, doux, pas criard comme avec un capteur piézo pour violon acoustique. Il est facile à jouer. Il est léger et les 2 réverbs intégrées sont de bonne facture, mais consomment pas mal. Attention aux piles ! Peu de souffle.
Comment jugez vous le rapport qualité/prix ? Avec l'expérience, referiez vous ce choix ? ...
Un violon très cher et pas conçu pour durer. Je l'ai acheté parce que j'ai pu l'essayer (pas évident pour en trouver un violon électrique dans un magasin ) et que le Stagg était vraiment à chier. Entre deux maux...
