Nicest thing about this amp is it's clean tube tones and 12-inch speaker. This amp goes cheap, these days- think of this as a budget-priced Fender Super Champ XD on steroids- more power, bigger speaker and cab, only thing missing is the DSP effects, which most of us can live without. By rights, this amp should be selling for $200, but they oft...
Well you have to search the used market for one of these now a days. I have seen them on evilbay for about $200. Now a bad price for this type of amp. I like that these amps were still made in Southern California. These amps were such a departure of what Fender would normally do. It was a hit with some people who weren't Fender fan-boy's because...
I'm not sure what the going rate these amps are in the used market. These amps were still made in Southern California which is a plus. These amps were such a departure of what Fender would normally do. It was a hit with some people who weren't Fender fan-boy's because those guys just want the classic style and tone. This would have appealed to t...
You can find these amps on the used market for right around $200+, which isn't that bad for a decent sounding hybrid combo amplifier. These amps were still made in Southern California which is a plus. I would recommend this to any one who needs a good practice amp and doesn't want to break the bank to buy it. I suggest trying ti ...
I have to say it...this is a waste of money. I know that it will cost you a few thousand dollars to get an original, but if you are dying to have that tone then it might be worth it to you to pass on this one. The tone is coming from an 8 inch speaker but it just sounds bad!. There is nothing I can really say about it other than what my ears are...
As far as practice amps go, the Fender '57 Champ is certainly up there with the best of them. It is built piece by piece after the classic 1950's Fender amps. However, since this is a replication Fender will charge you a whole lot of money here for a five watt amp. For this reason, I'd encourage those interested in getting an amp of any type ...
I bought this amp mainly for clear sound it provides. Coupled with a strat, fender sound is there but mainly in the registry clean snap. The connection is complete, the receiver. reliable, value for money is good. Lack of bass sound unusable in its saturated its major flaws.
I love all the 4, they have all been modified to be completely silent and long life. The desire to share my impressions and my info is on my site under construction: phleroyer.e-monsite.com, go check it out, it does not eat bread and you can learn a few things there.
To be honest, I bought a 1966 blackface because it is my birth year, I wanted to make me happy and I do not regret it, but you pay dearly for the next vintage, rare. I have three other field, in 1969, one from 1973 and one from 1976. Aside from the massive cabinet making for 66, 69 and mixed for plywood chipboard + for 73 and 76, these amps once...
Unbeatable value for money, the more apart the sound clear is the reserve power of 12 hp and that can have real bass without the hp collapses as soon as you turn up the volume
