USE

I was looking for LA solid body can afford to play the Jazz AND other styles (funk, blues, soul ...).
I found my happiness.
I was in a tent, but the radius RI 52 7 1/4 repelled me. Plus, I have a handle prfrais humbucker. When the model hot rod came out, so I thought that Fender had invented specially for me.
The neck is super enjoyable to play. The guitar is lightweight and balance.

SONORITS

The guitar is just fabulous. I'll stepfather excessive, but for me this is THE electric guitar.
The rsonnance is great. You feel it vibrate against itself (which for a solid body is really rare). The quality of the wood easel combines three bridges gives a very nice rsonnance the instrument. We can play in the clear without reverb without problem.

UTILIZATION

First thing is first. This is a really good looking guitar. It's understated with just enough flair to look cool in a live situation. I don't think I could change a thing about it in terms of looks. Seriously. Just a sick looking guitar. Forget road worn series. Just buy one of these and beat it up on a tour.

Now I'm not a fan of the vintage style bridge. I've never liked old style fender bridges no matter the guitar. They are not practical. Period. Not a deal breaker or anything but it's annoying. The rest of the hardware seems very nice. Tuners are pretty good. Electronics are solid. Fretwork is good. I'm torn on whether or not I like the neck radius or not. It's a little small for what I'm used to. This is every bit as good as a guitar of this price should be. It's not quite up to Ibanez Prestige standards, but it's close.

SOUNDS

I'm using mine with a Hughes and kettner Duotone combo and a small rack of effects. Mostly mounted pedals being run through a GCX switcher. The bridge pickup is basically your typical tele sound. It's wound a bit hotter though. So you can get those springstein sounds where you need a little more roar. The mini humbucker sounds a lot like a cross between a P90 and a single coil from a strat. Lots of mids and treble with rumbling lows and growly tone. Not exactly suited for cleans but then again this is a HOT ROD guitar. I use mine for indie rock type stuff. It's pretty versatile though. You can feasibly use it for most any genre.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like the most is how good it looks. But it also sounds pretty darn good too. I've never quite been at home with the feel of a tele, but it's something I tolerate. I guess I'm just more of a les paul kind of dude. The value for the price I think is pretty good. Obvious play it before you buy to make sure you don't get a dud.

The Tele that Fender should've conceived in the first place...

UTILIZATION

It's a Tele. You literally love it or hate it. From the strident top-end to the twangy bottom end. But...this one actually shreds. You can do all kinds of silly over the top things on it and it plays more like a 80s Super Start than a vintage Tele. So I guess you get Tele vibe with modern performance feel.

SOUNDS

I played this with my normal rack set-up and amps, as well direct with the Axe-Fx Ultra and Axe Fx 2.
The amps I love this guitar with is little low wattage things I can crank the snot out of. Like a 20 watt marshall TMB clone or a THD UniValve.
It's also super fun with a 100 watt Marshall or a Black face Bassman.
There is a reason they call the Tele a "Man's guitar". You have to kinda wrestle the amp so it doesn't run away whistling at the end of every note. On the other hand it will nicely slice though the mix in bands with lots of instruments. Without having to be ungodly loud. And since it's a Tele the volume and tone knob lay-out/position let you do volume swells or fake way sounds without running to the pedal board.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like the most about it that it feels, plays and sounds great.
What I like the least is that as always there'd no arm contour so having the body edge in your right fore arm all night long can take some getting used to.
The other down side is just the same with all guitars with single coils. When you play anywhere with bad power you fight noise an awful lot. But then at least in this case you have the neck hum bucker to get your though that gig.

Superb guitar ash colored bread and butter, US-made, micro "double" Seymour Duncan (mini humbucker) neck and vintage single coil in bridge.
21 boxes, 3 mic positions and a more general tone volume.
the neck is super thin and slightly wide, with a satin varnish.
the body has a layer of nitrocellulose, but rather fine present.
the key is typically vintage, it sticks to the finger and seems soft as butter (That's good), I was surprised, used gibson handles fairly "dry", but reminded me of a 1974 Stratocaster that I in the hands of a few hours at a friend.
the mechanical type are vintage, round metal buttons, pretty tight, very nice and stable but not very practical in case of emergency tuning.
high quality finish, it is no problem its 2000th (AC is an expensive piece of wood but you pay a hell of knowledge, the quality approach custom shop, say it is halfway between a standard base model and a big custom shop).
the guitar is at all consistent points, a good job for professionals!

UTILIZATION

The handle is top level form for me, my fingers are long and thin and a hand big enough (type to lanky man hehe 1m84)
I find it very comfortable. the satin behind the handle is really a plus. it is the same type as the models Zakk Wylde epiphone or gibson.
access to the treble, it's a telecaster in its most traditional form, so it's not bad.
the guitar is very well balanced, it does not sting the nose ... all is well.
weight, a real pen!! and yet what a sound!! Finally, it is really light, happiness!
we can get good sounds, slamming, deep, shimmering, moving, hopping ...... I play with a trident and a stiletto ENGL V30 4x12 + 2x12 mesa V30, a slight crunch is huge.

SOUNDS

The sounds are typical telecaster, and high quality. very airy sound is really well balanced.
the sustain is awesome !!!!!! much longer than any gibson I've had (standard, classic, faded studio standard are 347, ringtone maker)
and even in its clearest in the world.
good character is a guitar, some styles are particularly highlighted: funk, rock, current pop, blues basically.
Personal loved this guitar because the sound is really incredible and it made me discover a way to play than I suspected in me long ago.
the neck pickup sonns fairly thick but finally wide open, type humbucker but not mega powerful and pulling a little to the single coil.
The intermediate position is hardly less powerful than the neck position, a little more mids and a little more noise.
bridge pickup is very slamming, be handled with care because it was soon having too much treble, without losing the bass or mids. So a deal with the tone knob.
the knobs react very well, progressive and always musical.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since this morning, she is too good, a lot of character, is very well assembled, the model is very consistent.
2000th store ca me just seems well placed. in my opinion it is better to avoid that kind of scratch the order by internet, just to be sure to have the super fine wood and without default and is automatically adjustable (because I forgot to mention that must disassemble the handle to fix it hum hum)

OCCAZ in 1500 seems reasonable for a guitar in perfect condition.
I would do this choice? yes !!!!!!!! this is my first TV, it sounds vintage and modern for the best (little background noise, stick to the modern profile, but its quality vintage modern), the grain and color are wonderful .... There's brief Photography is not a bomb!

It's a Telecaster 100% Made in USA, finishing is very good adjustments, wood, varnish, hardware, it's all good!
The handle is a U slightly thinner than the 52 RI for those who know, but especially with a flatter radius (9.5 ').
Fender has had the excellent idea to cover the back of the neck with a satin finish that will not stick (unlike the conventional nitrocellulose-varnish which quickly this side "sticky").
Apart from the back of the neck, the entire guitar is covered with the famous nitro lacquer.
The 21 vintage frets model IR 52 have been replaced by "medium jumbo".
All this to say handle this Telecaster is a model of comfort that I find 100 times more enjoyable to play than that of IR 52 that I had before.
That said, the comfort of a handle is a very subjective thing and as always it is better to try to get an idea.

For settings, nothing very original, is pure and lasts Telecaster: A 3-position selector, a volume knob and a tone.


UTILIZATION

I was looking for a highly versatile instrument, and each time I thought something was missing ...

So, I looked beside Les Paul gold if distos are a delight, forget the crunches and incisive rhythmic frenzied punk rock ... Suddenly, buying a Tele RI 52: inimitable grit, a delightful twang, but a horrible race from the standpoint comfort (for my taste again) and distos poor (normal for a Telecaster could be said again ...)
Finally, yet another sale, yet another purchase, and then the revelation: the Telecaster American Vintage Hot Rod 52 is the best guitar I have played, and undoubtedly the most versatile:

First, empty, vibrate across this guitar for an incredible time (longer than the Les Paul I had ...), we feel that the violin is really upscale.
Connected, the sound palette is insane: the mini humbucker Seymour Duncan neck is a wonder: soft, round, hot, distilled in clean arpeggios, rich and fleshy. With a slight distortion or a nice overdrive, good electric blues warm winter evenings.
And again, fine for me, this micro manages very well the large distortions good: I play a Mesa Boogie Rectifier, and frankly about how "modern" with the gain to 2 / 3, it is enough to trigger a descent organ in your dear mother in law without problems ...
The bridge pickup is itself typical of the Telecaster: clear, crisp and ultra sharp. In his clear, we find the typical twang this guitar legend. The crunch sounds are beautiful, if care is taken to always control the tone to avoid the bees in the eardrums!
And last but not least, the middle is fantastic: the two microphones are sufficiently similar to allow this (mini SD Humbucker has a fairly moderate level of output). Sounds "intermediate" while still structurally sound (influence of double), while earning an advanced acid mainly on the 3 strings (and thank you for the micro bridge)!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month and a half is the first time that I expect much before posting a notice on AF because I wanted to be on me.
This guitar is a blast, playing in all registers with the ease of a queen. Including the land of hard rock and old school metal, it has something to say (unlike a standard Telecaster)
Only amateur nude extreme metal should go their way and go to the dedicated guitar.
The price is very high, but the instrument is worth it, this has relegated my old Telecaster guitars to the rank of nice memories ...
