Simple Installation, no paramtrage (Because no MIDI).

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Trs low power requirements, so no problemo.

After you install the bte, I see that this is not one of the Cubase MIDI squenceur but a squenceur of loops and samples to which is added a mini video editor that allows you to mount some squence on music with transition effects. Note that we are strongly urged Tlcharger loops and samples available on pay, which must be the economic MODEL hiding the derrire free.

That said, hard to complain given the price, especially since it can apparently will integrate any loop or sample, provided it is. Wav format.

Did it install without any problems? Yes.
    Were there any compatibility issues?
Is the general configuration/setup simple? Oh yeah.
Is the manual clear and sufficient? No formal manual - Instead excellent online Video Tute's. And, the excellent support of the programs Admins, maybe even person who made it.

    I rate this aspect a 10 out of 10.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

My PC a Dell w/ P4 liquid cooled 2.3GH CPU - 512 Ram - 128mb video card ATI - Basic Sound card. Not sure of the mother board yet.
Software runs excellent on this. I use WinXP Pro with my little security tools running all the time.

Software runs excellent on this. I use WinXP Pro with my little security tools running all the time.

Performance is great, even when Updating, and scanning are going on TrakAx will run 98% fine. It will start to lag or stutter when I have about 2.5 to 3GB worth of material I'm mixing with.
Ten full length music tracks with several layers of video say 7 or so and many filters, and special FX used.

At this time the music skips places, however saving to disk has never resulted in that same issue being saved. The final result is a perfect mix no skips and one video and one aduio layer.

Everything is stable as set up and configured.

    OVERALL OPINION

Useing TrakAx for about 3 maybe 4 months nearly every day now. I only mess around reliving my childhood days of when I used to mix mainly using tapes.

I like the fact it is so powerful for being a free program. I also enjoy the fact it is 100% malware, spyware, and AD ware free. No annoying reminder pop ups, and other crap to ruin a otherwise great product. They make money selling loops, and msuic to people who can afford it. The prices are pretty decent over all.

What I do not like is very few things really. And, more of this is how I use it.
If I have two peices of music in one track and I have a gap between the two, if I stretch the left most one to meet the right one it works fine. Reverse this, say the other piece has that little sound you need to fill the gap... Strecth the right hand piece to meet the end of the left hand on will often times freeze TrakAx. It's an annoying little issue more than anything.

Sometimes as I click to move the start point to a new spot if I click one to many times on a track the program freezes up.

Thankfully the makers of TrackAx left the "X" box active in case this happens. So no need to whip out task manager. Click the X and wait a second maybe upt to three for the end now box to appear. Then restart.

Tip- SAVE often as it's pretty easy to be into the mix and click the wrong way... POOOF start over. O,o

The value for the price is VERY GOOD what makes it EXCELLENT is the support the furom and main site provide you.

Knowing now what I do about TrakAx would I make the same choice to use it again? Yes I would.

It has so little overall I could as hobby mixer ask for. I do have a few little things, but I found ways around those.

TrakAX is not a pro tool by any means. If you want to hear what I've made using TrakAx and MS MM however MSMM is not able to mix... I use it to apply credits and that's about it.

On YouTube enter SpinergyDude almost all of my videos are made using TrakAx, the music and audio and most cases even video are mixed in it.

Overall I would rate TrakAx an 8 out of ten mainly due to the frozen program issues. And, lacking a few what I feel to be key features.
