Amp head all tube, 2 channels

UTILIZATION

Configuration is childish, fortunately because manual is a poor page!
This gives a good sound quickly.

SOUNDS

I play mostly blues, rockabily, and I love the grain it offers, quite fleshy when it is hot.
My comments and my notes reflect the price ok?
With a Telecaster, and jaguar (single coils both vintage) sound is crystalline, pure, it complies with the slamming of the first side and "surf guitar" the Jag. Really nice.
For Texas blues, do not worry either, it goes crunch channel, and there is. With a Fender Strat Alnico V vintage nothing wrong, it's clean, gain 3 or 4 max.
With noiseless pickups and Clapton asset returns are clear, and it is really stunning. The preamp guitar does a good job on it, and knob tone too. Fortunately, because eq. the amp is very very limited.
Go, ES 335? Perfect, nice and round. Do not hesitate to push the volume to be grainy and heat, and control from the guitar.
It's hard to believe that only 5 Watts.
Behind the effects loop is doing its job, it is rather transparent, but there is no volume knob.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a year and I use 3 hours per day for my classes.

I tried the combo version from a friend, and we skim everything that was less than 300 € including cabinet lights and in hybrids. I did not want a modeling amp. I had not found the best at the time for more money. So ...

The best: The sound is very clear, it is quite light and strong. Over 1500 hours of use ignitions 1000 / standby / extinctions, and not spitting, no decrease in sound quality. Lamps hold up. But I let it warm standby before putting watts.
The more heat, the more it is round, grainy, bluesy, like a little lamp, whatever.
The look is nice, nice logo, in English.
It is very exploitable without getting angry with neighbors, even when they are beginners playing. And I played pub carefree follows.

That I blame him: he has no reverb. That's it. Otherwise, in this price range, it seems hard to beat.
It is clearly not made for Metal, yet with a good pedal, it can be a little toy, even if it is not his thing.
The price / quality ratio seems excellent, and I am not convinced that the latest amps bring out much.

I'll buy another, probably a vintage Fender + attenuator, but I will keep it, unless finances forced me to sell it.

Overall very basic, but it is the philosophy of this type of amp.

UTILIZATION

Is a very basic amp, so do not worry configuration.
The manual is very basic but not necessary anyway.

The problems begin when one wants to make adjustments:
- The Bass EQ has an effect on the sound on 25% of the stroke of knob
- The Mid EQ has almost no effect on the sound
- The Treble EQ works correctly
- The Drive channel gain is much too sensitive, beyond 25% of the stroke knob, the sound becomes very saturated and 50% of the race it's Heavy Trash Metal Hardcore!

Once we have understood the intricacies of the settings, there is not too difficult to get a good sound, simply the skill to be a slight saturation, it is played in 10% of stroke knob gain. I'm

SOUNDS

Putôt in Rock and sound of this amp is perfect for this style is vintage enough.

Clean sound is very clear with lots of dynamics.
Sound Drive is not too bad provided the right amount of gain.

Tried with a Lag Roxanne 1000, it is excellent.
I also use it as a amp for my bass work on the clean channel, it sounds great with a baffle Ashdown 410 T Deep. Hard to believe that only 5W under the hood! Obviously we should not try to send heavy on stage with this config, but I prefer the sound of this little amp than my Ashdown MAG 300 EVO II 300W, Ashdown is the next draft.

I also have a small speaker 10 "Eagletone that I bought with very correct for the price (60 € if taken with the amp).

Also, a little breathless, but nothing unusual for this type of amp.

If the drive channel was better designed, I would have a higher mark.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two weeks.

Before, I used a VOX AD15VT but I found the sound a bit too "artificial" and metallic. This little amp is 5W less versatile than the Vox, but I find its really enjoyable.

I love the clean sound, too bad the EQ and gain control of its drive to be poorly designed.

I think the great price value. There are obviously better, but much more expensive. In the same price range, I only see the Epiphone Valve Junior, but it is less well (no setting possible).

I wanted a working amplifier low power and sounds good, the Raging Eagletone 5H fills that role perfectly. I do not regret my purchase.
