Overall Opinion
I use this cab for a few months.
Briefly describe this cab is difficult to be objective. Let's start with the characteristics:
cab 1x15 "
hp Eminence Legend 15 "
active speaker 600w rms (with special principle)
The principle of the ISP is a little different. Indeed, you enter the cab directly from the hp output on your receiver, the signal passes through the ISP who takes the bass frequencies, amplifies their initial grain through an integrated amplifier, and it makes the sound and staying power on its output that you connect to your normal cab.
it sounds simple but it becomes a puzzle because the sound was coming out of the weighted frequencies and gives a different outcome. Forcing, if you want a good efficiency, to have a second cab to turn him in normal mode. it involves a lot of stuff for a standard lathe and offer some puzzles when the choice of your configuration.
For those interested, I slip a little further information. Behind the beast, it-is a volume knob is the only setting you can influence. But, ironically, the volume reacts to the input signal and is aligned with it, so at most you pull the bass a little forward in the amount to be fake, but it never becomes dominant the noise level.
At the sound, the result is interesting. The sound is massive and full, with a beautiful roundness. The signal is boosted in serious but extends smoothly. By-cons, again the sound of the cab connected to the output of this gear will be critical. I could get nice results with hp Eminence Legend (quite round at the base) which became a little more crunchy and British, but on some celestion,
it becomes infected. On stage and say, you do not get special gear. As it is under your set, it vibrates your socks in normal times. It really makes the impact of the vehicle when transplanted the sound of this speaker on a pa. We then realized that broke the sound barrier ... in combination with a normal hp that works, we get the real big sound, good pro, solid, and palms that remain mute defined (in fact, the membrane vibrates actively, which means you can "play" the palm mute) and the muting signal serious extremes well defined.
Level perf / price ratio, the ratio is largely exaggerated. Indeed, a good cab with an Eminence 15 "is available at a cheaper price and it will be just as good of a hair. In short, it is a choice. J'utilise ce cab depuis quelques mois.
Décrire rapidement ce cab pour être objectif est difficile. Commençons d'abord par les caractéristiques :

Le principe de l'isp est quelque-peu différent. En effet, vous rentrez dans ce cab directement depuis la sortie hp de votre ampli, le signal passe par l'isp qui en tire les fréquences graves, les amplifie avec leur grain initial au travers d'un ampli intégré, et il rend le son et la puissance restant sur sa sortie que vous branchez à votre cab normal.
ça semble simple mais devient vite un casse-tête car le son qui en sort a été lesté des fréquences graves et donne un résultat final différent. Ce qui oblige, si vous voulez une bonne efficacité, à avoir un deuxième cab qui tournera, lui, en mode normal. ça implique pas mal de matos pour un tourneur standard et offrira quelques casses-têtes quand au choix de votre configuration.
Pour ceux que ça intéresse, je glisse encore une petite information. Derrière la bête, il-y-a un potentiomètre de volume, c'est le seul réglage que vous pouvez influencer. Mais, comble d'ironie, le volume réagit en fonction du signal d'entrée et s'aligne avec ce dernier; donc, au plus, vous tirez les basses un peu en avant en le montant à toc, mais il ne devient jamais dominant sur le plan sonore.
Au niveau son, le résultat obtenu est intéressant. Le son est massif et plein, avec une belle rondeur. Le signal n'est pas boosté dans les grave mais s'étend de manière harmonieuse. Par-contre, reprendre le son du cab branché en sortie de cet engin va être critique. J'ai pu obtenir des résultats sympathiques avec des hp eminences legend (assez ronds à la base) qui devenaient un peu plus british et crunchy, mais sur certains celestion,
ça devient infecte. Sur scène et en répète, on n'entend pas spécialement l'engin. Comme il est placé sous votre set, il ne fait vibrer que vos chaussettes en temps normal. On réalise vraiment l'impact de l'engin quand on repique le son de ce baffle sur une pa. On se rend alors compte qu'on a franchi le mur du son... en combinaison avec un hp qui fonctionne en normal, on obtient du vrai gros son, bien pro, massif ; des palms mutes qui restent définis (en fait, la membrane vibre de manière active, ce qui veut dire qu'on peut "jouer" du palm mute) sur le muting et des signaux graves extrêmes bien définis.
Au niveau perf/prix, le rapport est largement exagéré. En effet, un bon cab avec un eminence 15" est disponible à un prix plus avantageux et il sera à peine moin bon d'un poil. Bref, c'est un choix. Surtout que vous devez connecter un cab en sortie, ce qui vous obligera, si vous êtes perfectionniste, à emporter un second cab qui tournera en mode normal... c'est pas le pied quand on fait 3 concerts par semaine.
