- I Have Used the Koch Twin Tone II, And in a word to describe it is amazing,awesome,powerful, I have used Koch amps in the past but this amp totally blows them away it has the cleanest of clean for jazz and country, and the most awesome overdrive I have ever heard from a amp. I don’t play real hard rock but if I did I know this amp would be awesome and not miss a lick. The pedal is amazing the way you can just set your sound on the amp and it just programs in to the foot switch.
- I live in an apartment, and I had the volume at about 3 and my neighbors called the cops, so. I think it would shatter windows at 10. The new Wah effect works really good with the FBV Express pedal, and also makes the amp that much better.
- The second i plugged in my guitar it has great tones and presets to choose from. I also love the fact you can plug in your mp3 and jam along with your music. Some neat effects on this amp are auto wah, pitch glide, and volume swell. These effects work best with a foot board which i plan on purchasing soon.
- Overall Opinion
- For the price, this is a truly amazing amp. While the preset tones are cool, and good for a playing a few songs, I think they are better defined as great templates or starting points. You may find a tone you like, but just feels to be missing something, just tweak it to your liking. The basic models are great too. Each model offers two settings. Between the models, and all the effects, the possibilities are almost endless. It has your basic line out connection, and you can plug in your cd/mp3 player if you want to play along. It's got the hookup for the footswitch which is a must have addition. All in all, for the price I paid, this amp is top notch
- Koch is a company based out of the Netherlands and has been building great quality amps for musicians around the world. They have a good reputation as a simple guitar amps that are full of tone. These are high gain monster and they aren't sweet innocent clean amps. Koch is somewhere in between with their gain style and voicing structure.
This amp is a 50 watts blues style amp. They don't market it as a blues amp but that is the tone I hear when I hear this amp in action. You can definitely get a decent distortion from it but the voicing is just blues. I don't think it can be dialed out. Not that it is a bad thing just a particular thing.

- This is a three channel amp one dedicate to clean and one for the distortion. What is different to this amp is that it has a middle EQ for the clean channel. Most amps I come across and especially Fender has only volume, bass, and treble. There usually isn't a middle control knob for the clean. That is a simple but great features to have.
The distortion is kind of honky to me. I don't really like the tone of it all that much. It sound small and boxy. The tone of the clean is too but not as noticeable as the overdrive channel. The distortion I feel with the OD and OD+ switch just muddies up things. It isn't very pleasant to hear.
- Overall Opinion
- I am not sure what the going rate for one of these amps are used. I know that they are around $1800 new. They are great for the clean tone but I wasn't that impressed with the distortion channels. I would recommend this amp to a blues based player and not a hard rock player. It will sound good in a pop or mild rock setting and do fine. To me this amp is just ok.

- -The amp is simple to adjust the equalization is accurate, although its action means the sound by turning the knobs.

It is very versatile, and I agree with a lot of styles. It is just limited in metal, but I will say that the head and cabinet in 212 or 412 would be better suited to this style. But should be for everything else.
I play Jazz and Rock Prog. It is perfect for my style.
Od-Channel hot and runny
Canal + Od-straight and precise, powerful and modern. (But limited gain: this is not a high gain amp, cranked the grain become more rough, especially at high volume overdrive and a clean boost in may solve the problem)
He lacks headroom slightly, but it is very small (one hp, normal)

I tried Studiotone, I have since 2010. (The clean sound is excellent)
Constant-quality sound overall, equal at different volume levels

Its relatively high-weight (26 pounds: small but tough)
Its-button reverb to the rear, not very practical, too protruding, which also serves as a loop volume effect. It complicates things, but it's not embarrassing in the long term.
Great value for money, professional equipment is easily affordable, durable, and hand assembled in the netherlands.
With experience, for small scenes and piano bar, I would do this choice with your eyes closed.

- tube combo - 50 watts, 1x Koch VG12-90 speakers, 3 channels (clean, drive and gain), 4x 12AX7 pre-amp and 2x EL34 power tubes, reverb (output 0/25/50watts) , headphone output, includes a 5-button pedal, line out, FX loop, taken to other HP, etc. .... Weight: 26.5 kg.

But then the configuration of the amp is very simple.
The sound is there, I play with a JEM 7v (so DiMarzio Evolution).
- The clean sound is really incredible, the sound "Tender Surender" is at your fingertips!
for blues / jazz need anything else, the rock / a little heavy it out.
For some sounds, I think especially "Heavy Metal", a good effects pedal can sublimate the craft.
But again the sound is really great lens, DO is not playing with the volume to go from crunch to clear.
Each of the guitar pickups can be expressed and you really feel the difference.
It's all good.

- I have this amp for now. I tried a lot of things, I tested also very good Studiotone XL, virtually the same sound settings with more than it seemed.
I had for quite some time a Fender Vibro-Champ Lampsa in the 70's. With my dual humbuckers impossible to arrive at a clear worthy of the name, it always Crunchant.
Otherwise a 100 watt marshall, I'm happy to put aside.
The price is downright affordable compared to the amps, Mesa Boogie type US imports, the price is 50% cheaper than a Mark V, for example.

Solid, complete with an excellent spring reverb. (Not digital stuff)
Worth a guitar to the pitch to deliver its quintessence.

I started with a Roland Micro Cube (I recommend!), Tried a Fender tube not convincing at all, I had a Vox know what to finish with a Vox AD60VT combo digital effects that I really liked about first time and which I soon tired (digital effects; year's good start to define what we want really)
This is a truly exceptional amp for which the concept of money does not really make sense ... If there is one, is for life! What amp

- I play in a group of rhythm n 'blues with this amp and I get all the sounds I need.
I use a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Fender Start U.S., and a Fender Jaguar.
The clean sounds are very clear, and crunches and saturated, are quite suited to my style of music.

- I regularly use this amp for two years only in concert. He did not create any worries.
I do not know Koch, and I wanted to replace a Fender Hot Rod Deville due to his weight, my idea was to take a Hot Rod Deluxe much less cumbersome. My dealer lent me a Twintone II to a concert (the best way to try) and I kept it!
I think the value price of this amp is quite correct.

No, bad experience.
The shop I took it back and bought one instead Studiotone whose design seems more reliable.
I had 5 outages over in 1 month. (Luckily it was guaranteed). The last repair was a total reconditioning of the amp with the new parts of Koch.
The store ended up not understanding me back what to do!
The repairer of the mag. confirmed before the boss that many Twintone had serious manufacturing problems that he was exhausted to see them all the time back in SAV.
What a few shots before my son face to three French distributors of the brand, I heard with my ears (as in hp) that redistributors had the same problems on Twintone.
I could not believe my ears.
He then contacted the importer Koch who confirmed they had trouble with a series of Koch Twintone (which series?).
It was enough that the receiver returns to its cost to the parent to eradicate this problem.
He made me an exchange with a Studiotone that IT works for now well and gave me a refund of the difference and 60? for 5 round trips to repair the other.
So, now who wants to understand (can)
I got rid of the ball amp.
- Class A all-tube amp (12AX7 & EL34).
HP 12 "KOCH
- French manual. Easy to use, settings (EQ, etc.) purposes.
- Style I play Rock / Blues. The clean this amp is comparable to the famous Fender amp (I compared with HotRod Deluxe: Really nothing to envy). Distorted sounds ranging from vintage to modern (and channels OD OD +). SUPER VERSATILE! The sounds are very rich in harmonics (lamps) it either clean or saturated.

- I hesitated before my purchase after reading the post of arsaniit. But I asked my dealer to confirm Lyon who also called the importer to confirm the words of arsaniit and it turns out he has not had a pot (as can happen with any manufacturer). The importer has confirmed that some models have had little problems There's a few times but he assured us that the problems were being extremely rare today.
I therefore find the quality / price excellent. It's been two months that I have mine and ... This is great! The animal may be a bit heavy but the lamp thus implied.
I would do without hesitation that choice (or may be hesitant with Studiotone XL).
- 50 Watt all-tube amp:

The connection is trs complte, including an effects loop in or parallle SERIES.
Includes a 5-button footswitch with selection of the three channels, switch on / off the reverb or effects loop if it is connected and a switch that toggles between a volume "rhythm" (adjustable by knob the back of the amp) volume solo.
A attnuateur Intgr to switch the power 25w 0w or to use only the line out or headphones.
The only negative possibilities of connections is the fact that the rverb disables itself when using the effects loop parallle, which is my case ... For this reason I put that 9.
- No knobs to 50,000 CONTRL of sound, trs rglages are simple, very easy and you get the sound DSIR. The sound palette is quite tense, not to the metal can be the hardest, but I am not a specialist in the matter of.
The manual is quite simple and explains well DIFFERENT rglages and manipulations should be done on the amp.
- The grain of the amp is pretty "hot" compared to other amps I've tried in the same price range. I use it with a MM Luke and I find the sound really HUGE!
The clean channel has a trs its really nice. The OD and OD + also. It can range from almost clear sound with lightweight crunch up the distos really standard. Drle most is to hear of such a power amplifier in such a small case.
Ms. adpote 25 watts!

- It's been two weeks, and I never tire of it (the neighbors can be ). The scope of the reverb that goes off when you plug one end into the loop parallle is really the black spot, it's going to make me buy a reverb pedals apart even more than the r Accutronics intgre verb type I liked.
I tried several amp in the same price range (engl, vox, fender) is really the one I prfr. The report qualitprix seems correct, because the overall design of the amp is really good quality trs. Pay in 1350 california music.
EDIT 31/08/2008: It's been six months ending for me pssde this amp, I trimballe (not all the time) rptitions and it's always my happiness no worries!
