This is an overdrive effect, nothing more to it. It runs completely basic 1/4" jack inputs and outputs with no MIDI or editing via an editing software on either Mac or PC.

The pedal is all out analog, utilizing a 12AX7 vacuum tube. The tube itself does not light up, when the pedal is active, but Vox has build in a blue light, that turns on when the pedal is powered up. Not a feature you need, but ads a nice sparkle to the design.
The case is all out chrome and on the bottom of the pedal, is a compartment to house six AA size batteries. If you choose not to run on batteries, that is possible to. 9 Volt DC and a healthy amount of milli amps should get you running.

I don't know exactly how many milli amps it draws, but if you only have a Cioks Baby size power supply, already running a few Boss pedals and maybe a Wah, then you won't be able to throw in this drive.

UTILIZATION

Boy oh boy, is this pedal easy to use or what? Three controls is all you get - and that's all you need for this one. It's an overdrive - not a plane!
From left to right you have the gain, tone and finally the level control.

I've never had to use the manual that came with this product, and I don't ever think anybody will.

SOUND QUALITY

The gain stage is really long, and lets you dial in the precise amount of saturation that you want. Keep in mind, that this pedal cleans up very nicely, so if you just back up you volume control on the guitar, you'll get a completely different experience with the pedal.
If you need a light crunch or a sparkle, you can get it. If a heavy distortion-type sound is more to you liking, then this stompbox will handle that as well.

The tone control feels like a low pass filter or a high frequency shelf, giving you the ability to create a creamy overdrive of a thin and harsh sound.

Level is rather self explanatory. As with any other overdrive or distortion effect, remember to adjust and level out gain and output level, so that you sound won't jump to much from clean to overdriven!

OVERALL OPINION

All in all this is a very good overdrive pedal. Not much to it, and really simpel to use.
Since this is a tube powered overdrive, you have to change the tube from time to time accordingly to how much you use it and how hard you drive it on the gain.
I havne't changed my tube yet, as I run it as a light crunch with a low gain setting.

I would be sad if this pedal was stolen, and would sure go out searching for a new one. I'm not sure that the pedal is in production any longer, so it would have to be found on the used market.

I think you get a great pedal for what you pay, no doubt about it.

SOUND QUALITY

I was looking for a nice crunch (not a violent thing) and I was not disappointed. Other opinions are realistic about this product. if I had to blame something that is very "net", nothing to do with a vintage effect would be missing a little more (but that's when you're a fucker fly like me)

OVERALL OPINION

now it's been a year and odds and ends that I use and it happens from time to time it is cut and that's boring in the middle of a song and especially in concert.
simply re-press the switch and the sound comes back but it's boring.
In short, it is the default fucks a good foot in the air. And it bothers me because it really has a beautiful sound.
In comparison I have a TS9 upgraded and I prefer big ben.

PDAL lamp (it is blue), trs beautiful color mtal chromium (attention is messy), square and rather large.

Possibility of putting batteries (lasts 15 20 hours).

UTILIZATION

Super simple setup, very easy to find a warm, round, vintage trs.
the knobs are prcis, progressive and trs.
In this résumé as good pedals.

SOUND QUALITY

The is really, really good pedals for the blues / rock, trs warm, round, full of warmth and especially do not drool grows back.
Uses a strat US (single microphone) is prcis, raucous, full of harmonics.
I use a Laney VC30 lamps, the clean channel.

OVERALL OPINION

For the critics, I blame him (history of criticizing, right) do not go far enough in the crunch, not to have an overdrive trs muscle to dive into the world of hard rock.
For mtal, this is not the pedals for you.

UTILIZATION

For settings, there is no simple> 3 knobs: Volume - Tone - Gain
No need for manual, everything is done instinctively.

This pedal has a lot of versatility: It is possible (after a while bending over) to dig up a well bluesy, vintage or fairly typical rock!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is very nice (You can feel the button "VOX")

The lamp (famous 12AX7) gives a warm and also grain foil!

This pedal is ideal for both rhythmic solos as well for good rock 'n' roll!
There are many possibilities, but this pedal is definitely not for the metal.

I use a godin artisan st, a Start or a Yahama US AES-620 on a Fender Twin Reverb and it sounds!

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using 4 or 5 months now and I do not regret that choice.

I tried many pedals before falling on the "Big Ben" and it was a nice favorite when I tested
Obviously the price is quite exaggerated, but the quality is there.

In short, a very good overdrive pedal. It shines, it's clean enough and yet when you combine dévastarteur gain tone & the way! ... but always with great clarity in the sound of the notes, which I like personally very much.

SOUND QUALITY

While the killing is one! I use the pedals with a standart stratocaster vox amp + US ac15cc1, and marriage is perfect. I have never shown such a pleasure to use an overdrive. The sound is warm, the sound palette is standard, I redcouvre my guitar and my amp. You can spend a good lightweight bluesy crunch has its limits, pushing the gain saturation. I have only my Boss OD refourguer ...

OVERALL OPINION

Well, it is true that the pedals is not given but is worth every penny. Pay 100 into an opportunity on the net, in a state approaching the new, there's no rflchir, the pedals is a real wonder! I tried a few pedals before and I never heard a sound like nothing wrong. I would do without this choice hsiter. I think even continue my qute products in Vox, the Bulldogs looked really nice too.

Trs simple: in / out, volume, gain, tone, switch

The pros: the lamp that lights up blue, it's Aesthetics and useful (for dbracher not forget the jack and use the batteries). The chrome look is nice trs. batteries 4x1, 5 V or 9V battery or adapter (cool).

The -: even when it is cumbersome that the sudden she seems strong

Nothing to say this pedal is typ blues / rock its sounds great but I find it regrettable that it does not go far enough in winning, I see pchu Plutt rock hard rock.
I use a Vox AC30 and coupled to a distortion pedal which increases Whereas sustain.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months, the only thing I regret is the lack of gain, and finally with all the pedals I've tried it before, it clearly above silent.
The report price is rather good quality, we pay particular brand and aesthetics of the pedal, but good for the price I pay this pedal I am fully satisfied
