This is a leather, padded, wide style guitar strap. It is VERY comfortable. It is one of the most comfortable guitar straps I have ever used. The padding helps make the strap more comfortable, which means a better playing experience. The thicker strap helps spread the weight better across more of you shoulder, meaning a more comfortable and more enjoyable playing experience and less shoulder pain during extended playing sessions. It can go from James Hetfield Low to Tom Morello High, all while doing a great job of supporting the weight of the guitar so you don't have to. I used to use a Perri's strap. It was good and comfortable, but this one is better. It is more comfortable and made better. This strap works very well with straplocks. I use Schallers with it, and they work perfectly. They leather hasn't stretched much, and the straplock doesn't slip through the hole in the strap like it does in some other straps I've used. It is very strong, and I have no concerns of it breaking any time soon. This strap should last for a long time. When it finally breaks, I AM buying a new one of these. As with anything, it won't last forever. The leather has stretched some, and it shows it's age, but it still has a few more years left in it's life I think. It's very well made, and very strong. The price is VERY good on it. VERY affordable, and in the same price range as every other strap, but it's better quality and made better. If I ever need a new strap, I know what strap I'm going to buy. This is one of the best straps I've ever used, and also one of the most comfortable I've tried, and I love it.
