UTILIZATION

• Viewpoint violin, it's very nice.
The size of the fund makes it more manageable than its big sister fed the fat lard guitar: If you are part of a group of boys to dance vocation (yes, a Boys Band), it will facilitate the execution of your backloops ; or you simply enjoy on stage, do not have to apologize to every bassist untoward movement.
The handle is perfect: it has in hand, but it is reasonable. Perfect in style, though, and it's very personal, I prefer the smaller radius (ha ... the handle of the Johnny Marr Jaguar ...).
Flat (yes) why such mechanical on a quality instrument? Malicious intent? Nastiness? Global conspiracy? And if so, who and why? Well, the change already taking arrange things a bit (10-52 for me).
• Easy to get good sound? :
So there it thickens ... Judge for yourself, you must:
1 - To enter an ES-339 guitar (A) (in a good sense, it is important)
2 - Turn the tube amp (B)
3 - Warm up the receiver (B)
4 - Enjoying step 3 to place a jack (C) (the right diameter, it is also important)
5 - Operate the junction (A) and (B) through (C)
6 - Saute the standby amp (B)
7 - Play, or let them play a talented friend.
For more scrupulous, you can add "- 8: Using the 4 knobs, make your strengths (which illustrates only two (knobs) is good, but it is 4 it is really nice) "

SOUNDS

A Fender Bassman 59 is beautiful, it is ample.
With overdrive (Mad Pro, Little Green Wonder): it's beautiful, it growls.
With distortion (Fulltone Plimsoul): it's beautiful, it tranche.
With Fuzz (Hoof): it's beautiful, it's fat (and fat, that's life)
With a tremolo (Boss TR-2): It's fine
With a delay (MXR Carbon Copy): it's beautiful ... it's beautiful ... it's beautiful ... it's beautiful ...
In short, it's beautiful and super versatile.

OVERALL OPINION

So all good ... except ... and yes, "except", as if there is no "except" is not the recent Gibson. Unless, therefore, that the bridge was rotten: when the bridge re is lower than all other (bad machining), it no longer follows (all) the radius of the shaft, so the guitar is inréglable, it borders, So it's ugly, so it's annoying. As Gibson, in which the reactivity of service has equaled the excellence of quality control, propose to change the room, free of charge ("haaaa ..."), but with a delay of "several weeks" ("hoooooo ... :-("), and being given my previous disappointments (see "Episode 1: The Return of the Firebird Anniversary twisted" and "Episode 2: The Gibson Les Paul traditional 2014 against attack"), I n listening boundless confidence that inspires me the brand and decides (with a gesture of goodwill store, thank you) to change at my expense the bridge by TonePros.
This manipulation was reached shortly after the purchase, it is therefore difficult for me to note the instrument as it was originally: a good guitar with a lamentable easel past 2 times (parts and finished instrument) through a lack of quality control. My ratings therefore apply to the instrument as I take this opportunity today: a great guitar, great, provided a very good bridge (which the passage, I think, improved the overall sustain of the instrument ).

UTILIZATION

Handle gibson for those who have already try this is an extraordinary comfort that your guitar for this. the handle is relatively narrow so for those who are of big paw I highly recommend taking the time to try before you buy (c tjrs that must be the case prior to the acquisition of a guitar). It is a light guitar with a bass drum like a Les Paul but with ES as it allows easy access to acute and have a signature sound tinted half body. Really nice to play in clear sound with a slight crunch and Clemens with distortion. The knob works well, contrary to what I read on another test, the sound changes very gradually, both volumes tones.
I said it's a shame it is not mechanical oil baths grover type, but after my first string change the meca Kluson its widely as well and takes very good tuning.
I would end by saying that it is very important to try an instrument before buying and considering the price in-store purchase is recommended as a model for each instrument is different. I buy in the store and I pay the same price as on the internet.

SOUNDS

Because of its small size crate Les Paul, this guitar is ultra versatile, you will not played with Pink Floyd (and even for the gifted handle) but but against blues rock, hard perhaps even the metal. I have plugged into my Marshall Valvestate VS 8080 with effect just this amp can do a lot of things, we go from blues to heavy distortion with great pleasure. Both micro are very different, one very acute one more round with more serious, in short words, but I still say you should try everything c. Grasse to the beam through no larsenne even with heavy distortion! which is not the case on the other half body as the model 335.

OVERALL OPINION

I have a fender strat, a half box 335 wild custom guy with Bigsby and therefore the 339 now, I had a Les Paul and a Grestch corvette, the 339 is my preferred guitar, light and handy I play hours on .
Only flat satin black is very messy to leave manic fell. I wanted it black so I assume but fingerprints hands and companies are legion after the first 15 minutes of play

The finish is just excellent and the instrument is beautiful.

Note that two types of sleeves are quite round and the difference is not as drastic as between series 50's and 60's slim tapper usually encountered on the Les Paul models.

UTILIZATION

The guitar is light, well balanced with a case of reduced dimensions. Suddenly it's a pleasure to play in all positions.

The tone knobs are very efficient and allow many variations.

Circuit volume aka "Memphis Tone" is a particular hair in the sense that it acts only on the 6-10 range, but well maintaining the sound character. It's a bit surprising at first, but we made it relatively quickly and in the end we do very well control the output level / saturation on a nice warm amp.

Everything would be just perfect if there was not a problem keeping tuning. Indeed, the angle of inclination Gibsonian are added mechanical whose accuracy is relatively coarse (12:01) and a synthetic saddle badly cut on my copy. After changing to a bone nut tailored it comes out correct course. View the range of the instrument and the label "custom shop" is quite surprising, especially as qq research on the net confirm that this concern is relatively common on the series.

SOUNDS

In a word: sublime!

The neck pickup is clear in its simply superb! It is certainly the most beautiful clear sound I managed to get a guitar in twenty five years of practice!

The crunch is also formidable with this small slice of the own funds velvety hollow.

As for distorted sounds are very similar to those of a (very good) LP.

Note that the controls, including tones, are very effective and can tweak the sound well. I think in all honesty the 339 remains the ideal companion of many musical styles.

OVERALL OPINION

A nearly flawless and one of my favorite guitars: sublime sounds and playability extraordinary!

The relatively more side roots guitar promotes a very instinctive game that I love.

No history of ill-fitting saddle I could easily put a 30/10. Shame, but at the same time is just about everything that I find to complain about.

I think the value for money is still very very good and that I can not recommend this guitar to any fan of gibson not engaged in industrial metallurgy.

I would say 1/2 Start CS R GALLAGHER / ES 339 3 / Gibson LP B beauty 4 / Dues imperial ...

I'm in my 50's and have seen and played my fair share of some fine axes. I usually play classic rock, blues and a bit of country. I play out a bit but mostly am a hobbyist. My Es-339 ,purchased from GC is, in my case, all around excellent. The neck is so straight I brought the action down to almost nothing with no buzz or fret noise. Fit and finish are top grade, smooth and clean everywhere. The tone is just short of an LP's and a 335's - in a good way. Sustain, tone and depth galore. This guitar is well suited for almost anything. Gibson has answered the pleas of the common player, versatility and tone at a truly affordable price. Free at last, free at last . . .

I bought it at GC after comparing LP's, Strat's and tele's. I paid 1799.00 less 15% special with a year to pay with no interest and it's worth every penny.

The little sister of the Gibson ES 335, a stroke of genius of the Gibson custom shop / Memphis!
Why a small ES? to satisfy those who dreamed of an ES 335, but who wanted a Lespaul, a versatility of incredible sounds, a weight and a smaller footprint, LP type (eg girls?) and sum any price just reduced.

UTILIZATION

Access to acute, but not that of my Jackson (22 keys, not 24), is quite good.
3.5 kg, it is barely 100 grams more than my Strat.
We see, we love; touched, it is crazy. One branch, it is in heaven rockers!

SOUNDS

So there the wonder is this: this is the only of the (many) guitars qualities I have, I have had, or I've tried, able to play ANY style, from jazz to metal.
You read correctly! jazz, easy, pop, rock, too. the metal when I tried it on a dual rectified;
An output gain of greater than '57 pickups in my jackson ...
and it is beautiful.

OVERALL OPINION

I and I had many, many guitars, and this one is the icing on the cake.

UTILIZATION

Whoa! Gibson is really onto something here. They've had the ES-335 for a long time, since about 1958. While that truly is a great guitar, it has a rather large body. A few years ago, some genius at Gibson decided to make a scaled-down version of the 335, but keep the neck at the proper length. Thusly, the 339 was born! All the good things one would expect from a high end Gibson - great craftsmanship, gorgeous finish, solid hardware - it's here. The playability is very nice - it's the 30/60 neck, which means it's akin to the neck carve of their 60s models, yet with an extra three hundredths of an inch added on for more resonance.

SOUNDS

This gets a ten. A solid, perfect 10. The 339 has a very sweet tone - sweet as a baby eating chocolate ice cream. The overall resonance of the guitar is very pronounced - this axe vibrates in your hands, and you can FEEL every note. The F-holes allow the acoustic sound to project more when unplugged, but the magic is in the plugged in sound. These pickups are wonderful! I've always loved the '57 Classics from Gibson, and these pickups are the perfect combination for this guitar's body. Rock, blues, jazz, funk, whatever - it all lives inside this axe.

OVERALL OPINION

Breathtakingly good. I'm so impressed with this guitar. I'd have given it a ten if it was just a bit less expensive and had better inlays, like split parallelograms. Gibsons can be a bit pricey for what they are, especially for something like a Les Paul. However, this one is still priced very well for the quality of guitar it is. I'd recommend anyone try this baby out!

UTILIZATION

The frets are not very easy at first for someone used to the Les Paul and SG. But getting started is fast!

The legatos are very comfortable, finally everything is very well calculated!

The sound is easily "better" than any Les Paul, without the enormous weight of the old Customs ...
The sound is clear in the class of musicianship of some custom Telecasters, very respondent and with a touch of noise introduced by the hollow body.

SOUNDS

The sounds that come out and cover any style of music, from jazz to metal, to rock-crunch that will shake the earth!

The sustain is slightly better than the Les Paul Custom Slash or that of (double price yet). Very nice overall musicality, captivating and violent!

OVERALL OPINION

I use the last few months, having long tried every possible gibson (including Customs and 70-80 years).

This guitar will make history and bring me a joy for years to come!

Small note: try several copies in the store if possible, I did not like other guitars of the same brand and type ... The quality is finally something unique and very personal when it comes to a Gibson!

Trs-The handle is enjoyable, though yours in hand, slipped his own, basically it is a highway!

- It shook it hard not cole has a style of music, it is super versatile.
ax is especially blues, rock, jazz.
- I play with a MG100HDFX is not the amp of the century, but form a good combo.
- Bin with the neck pickup it has a rather acute, the bridge pickup it has a bold blue, here is a normal guitar
- There's no sound detestable, there's no sound I prefert. Everything is good in this skyscraper.

- I use it for 3 months, 3 months that I have no social life.

access to acute perfect given the length of this one. Lgre, perfect sound Whoa, so the my friend is a killing, the bomb, in short: jazz, rock ..... in saturation: rock ....., it is wonderful that scratching mine is sunburst.

SOUNDS

It should be a lot of style, mounted with 57 humbucker, I play a Laney VC 30 lamp, its hard serious sound: gibson of course, nothing wrong, the sound I prfre: c ' is the high position clear: Jazz felt. Low position: rock California has limited pull fiction crunchy. AND all the way down to the saturation: for solo to sustain with a sigh.

OVERALL OPINION

2 months since it all, between the 335 and the Les Paul Standard, the ratio quality price is excellent in view of its manufacture: custom schop.
I would do is choose one second without hsitez ......................

The handle is a bit large but comfortable, accurate, and the small size is appreciated, the sound is an absolute killing. From jazz to BLES through the rock ... metalheads refrain of course!
