UTILIZATION

This is an interesting entry from Ibanez. It is a fully hollow guitar, with a thinner body, and one cutaway. It's a bit like an ES175 in body shape, and Epiphone Casino in depth and construction, only with mini-humbuckers. The build quality is good for the price, and the playability is great.

SOUNDS

This is a great sounding guitar! The acoustic projection is substantial, and the top of the guitar contributes to a nice compressed sound. Plugged in, the pickups sound very nice - very similar to some of my favorite pickups ever, the mini-humbuckers from Gibson. Nice tonal balance, and the guitar is great for jazz, country, rockabilly, classic rock, alternative/indie.

OVERALL OPINION

The pickups really make this a special guitar. Ibanez has been making incredible hollowbody instruments for a long time, and this is a good low-cost alternative to their high-end instrument. It plays well, looks classy, sounds fantastic, and won't break the bank. Recommended.
