Preamp very transparent, even too ...
Indeed the value of a preamp tube can be color and the SPL are missing a bit. Aps This is a criticism just an observation. If you need a stereo preamp very inexpensive set is a good choice. Lack of bass, you have to change the lamp for more color.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had 15 days I tested it with several microphones and preamps compared to other (art, avalon ...) and has an intrinsic color is very neutral style Focusrite. If it is defined it lacks the roundness in the bass of an Avalon or Manley or Focusrite Red ... but hey it cost 10 times less!
So it's a bargain at this price. If you can invest in better lights and you will have more character.
