Large diaphragm condenser microphone lamp.
Cardioid.
Comes in a luxurious and sturdy metal case (that is well protected, it's been reassuring and pro)
Micro comes with all accessories: suspension effective windscreen, power supply unit, cable 7-pin 10 meter ... faut.Il everything that's missing is the XLR cable and anti-pop.
Edit: I take off one point because the lamp is welded, not clipped, very stupid, even for low-end Chinese ...
OVERALL OPINION
It's been a month since I use it.
For now, I have used with voice (especially mine). I have to do more tests.
What I can say for now is that the sound is pretty amazing (at attractive price that I paid compared to what it is).
Coupled with the Mindprint TRIO, it delivers a precise, clear, warm, rather open and balanced, neutral, which enhances the voice without actually coloring or turn by providing "some sort of grain" when is placed at a safe distance from the microphone to take: At least 25/30 cm.
Below, There are a proximity effect, that is to say a reinforcement in the bass and midrange, which can be interesting if it is used I guess (but I have not yet done enough testing to say anything).
Otherwise, I could not see which model of lamp is, but it is not a 12AX7 I think.
Anyway, I have no problem souffle.Un very good signal / noise ratio so.
Defects in the ... especially considering the price ... not much.
Serious, even if they are well defined and precise, this too can be, but it is more or less control by positioning relatively far.
Treble, if they are not aggressive (hissing problem ...), deserve to win yet defined, even if they are well.
Finally, the sound can be slightly warped, but it's very minimal.
Compared to Rodes, Studio Project, Behringer in this price range and above ... SCT700 on the outclass everyone and it costs less too.
Case to be continued ...
At least for 159 euros, you have a high quality microphone, but not irresistible and pretty effective (sound)
Edit 23/03/07: I sold it because I have the opportunity to equip myself of SCT2000 (at multidirectivité) ps and I can not help me keep this one, which would be redundant.
Otherwise, know also that this model, the lamp is sealed, and given the fragility of the PCB, it is very difficult to change it without going into details.
Personally, I gave up.
