Winter NAMM 2012 News
Don't get me wrong. It's obviously not quite going to be like the real thing. It can't possibly replace every microphone. Do not buy this and an SM58 and expect to be set. I repeat: It's a program. It isn't essential to have at all, because all this plugin really does is automate frequency shifts, which you can probably do on your own anyway. Ob...
While certainly a great idea and good execution here, the Antares Systems AVOX Aspire Evo is definitely a bit of a glorified EQ. What I mean by this is that at the heart of this plug-in is a specified EQ, so while it's a nice one to have around, most of what can be done in here can most likely be handled using an in depth parametric EQ. Having...
The Antares Systems Avox Articulator Evo is definitely one of the coolest talkboxes I've used out there as it takes a unique approach to this awesome effect. It's definitely not your typical talkbox as you have a lot of precise control that you won't find elsewhere. The best part is that the plug-in also sounds fantastic. It's got a really sm...
The Antares Systems Auto-Tune EFX is definitely a cool idea, as not everybody needs graphic mode in Auto Tune. If you're just using it for the effect, this is a good way to save a few bucks and get the same sounds in an easier, more user friendly interface. For me I need the full version of Auto Tune, and I'd probably recommend going with that...
The Antares Systems Avox Throat is a really awesome idea and a fun plug-in to play around, but to date I've only printed a track with it once. It definitely has some potential and perhaps I've yet to unlock it, but often it sounds too processed to me when I run a voice through it. The aspect that I like most about it is that it is pretty good ...
I've been using the Antares Systems Microphone Modeler for about five years and while it is a nice plug-in to have around, it isn't essential to anyone's set up. I'm a big believer in getting the signal sounding right at the source, but this can be a helpful plug-in if you want to add some warmth to your sound if you aren't happy with what you d...
I used it regularly at a friend's and it surprised me. Obviously you can't expect a Neumann sound if you recorded with an SM58, it's only a computer-based simulation. But this plug-in is very convenient to record vocals and guitars with a vintage sound.
is nothing more than a toy! I use it as just an additional effect fx on my palette of plug but must stop dreaming the virtual can not be reality at most a virtual reality good luck if you want to ring your mark as a sub-U47, which does not preclude that even with cheap mics (without the plug ) can be a good catch! ps.le pric...
