Made in Indonesia, f250 LTD has a agathis body (I did not know until now) superstrate guy with a neck-thru maple neck and rosewood fingerboard 24 frets. Pink floyd licensed and two EMG humbuckers hz complete the package. The level knob is a volume, tone and a toggle switch 3 positions.

UTILIZATION

I had already tried f50 and I was charmed by the comfort ... It is light, balanced, ... I really have fun with it! The neck is super nice. I love varnish sleeves, it is a pleasure and so easy to slip on.

As for access to acute, it is perfect! Between the handle and cutting through the pan, I reached without any worries the 24th box.

I got this as a gradutation gift from Musicians Friend as my first guitar. I paid about $600.

It has good tone and very evil looks, designed for the hard rocker.

A few months after playing it, the jack input screw came loose. Trem Springs got weak very quickly with very little use. The humbuckers deliver nice sound, but their passive, and don't cut through.

Neck Thru design, two EMG-HZ Passive dual humbuckers, Floyd-Rose trem, 24-frets, volume/tone control, mono output, 6-string.

It's a very good guitar for he begining rocker, or the rocker with enough money to customize it after getting it. Only reason price is so high is cause of the neck-thru design and the brand name.

This is a Korean made guitar. 25.5" scale, dual humbuckers, with master tone, volume, and a 3 way switch. The body is agathis I believe, with a maple neck. The guitar is a neck through.

This guitar features a licensed Floyd Rose bridge. The bridge is probably the weakest part of the guitar, as it made of kind of junky metal, but it holds a tune well enough and if you don't plan on using it a lot than you should be fine. Otherwise you might want to think about replacing it with a higher quality Floyd.

The neck is the ESP Thin U shape. Its my favorite neck profile ever. Thin enough that you can still shred, but it still has some meat to it.

Overall the guitar is really nicely made, no issues with the finish, the factory setup was good, and all the hardware (besides the bridge) are really high quality.

UTILIZATION

The neck through construction means that the manufacturer can get away with a better neck joint, since they don't have to worry about shaving away too much material and hampering stability. In laymen's term, this guitar has awesome upper fret access.

Its also a very well balanced guitar.

There is a little spike in the top of the guitar that I've heard some people complain dug into them. However, that was never an issue for me.

SOUNDS

This guitar has surprisingly excellent stock pickups. They sound great. They're hot enough to play metal, but not so hot that they don't clean up nicely. The bridge pickup is nice and tight, and the neck pickup has a great lead tone.

OVERALL OPINION

This was the first guitar decent guitar I ever bought. At the time I thought the over the top look of the guitar was awesome. A couple years later I thought it was a little to much so I sold the guitar to my cousin. He still owns it so I get to play it from time to time. Over the past 5 years this guitar has been played regularly and its still in great shape. And its still a player. To this day I'm surprised at how nice it plays.

Neither my cousin or I are that into using the Floyd Rose, so its been setup in dive only and rarely used for the entirety of its life, so the bridge is still in nice shape. However, it really isn't that great of a bridge since its really cheap metal. With more use the knife points would have dulled easily and the bridge would be less stable. Its pretty much the only downside of the guitar. Otherwise its excellent.

The guitar, quite simply, sucks. The fretwork is pretty bad. The edges are sharp, and the frets are not properly crowned like they should be. The guitar has issues with certain notes on the fretboard not making any sound due to the frets not being perfectly level. The floyd rose bridge is a licensed pot metal bridge, but it's not TOO terrible. I mean, it's still bad, but there are worse ones out there. They could have done worse in that aspect.

The sound is atrocious. I can't stand agathis wood at all. The thing wasn't resonant at all, and the pickups were especially brutal. The neck was a muddy mess, and the bridge had no definition at all. To be honest, I wouldn't bother replacing the pickups in this as it'll just be a waste of money. In fact, the pickups will probably cost more than the guitar costs. I can't believe that LTD still uses agathis wood in this day and age. I understand it's due to cost, but I'm sure they could at least find some cheaper mahogany or something out there to use.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're thinking about buying this guitar, don't. Besides it being totally ugly, the fretwork is bad, the wood selection is woeful, the pickups are atrocious and it just doesn't sound good. If you want the F series, look for a higher model LTD and buy used. That'll be your best bet in getting a decent sounding one for a good price. These lower model LTDs just aren't worth considering.
