Characteristics
DB3 exists in 2 versions: the expander and the keyboard version. The latter has more of a keyboard with 61 keys like waterfall (near the keyboard of a "real Hammond"), if not the specifics of the 2 versions are the same.
DB3 is a clone of the Hammond organ, there is therefore no sounds of organ tone wheel, adjustable (like on a B3) with 9 drawbars (drawbars) present on the dashboard.

Le DB3 existe en 2 versions : la version expandeur et la version clavier. Cette dernière dispose en plus d’un clavier de 61 touches de type waterfall (proche du clavier d’un « vrai Hammond »), sinon les spécificités des 2 versions sont les mêmes.
Le DB3 est un clône d’orgue Hammond, on n’y trouve donc que des sons d’orgue à roue phonique, paramétrables (comme sur un B3) grâce aux 9 tirettes harmoniques (drawbars) présentes sur le tableau de bord.

Utilization
Use of DB3 is a breeze: no hidden menu, everything is accessible and intuitive. Sounds are easily configurable and memorable, as the manual (English or Italian), it is almost superfluous.
L’utilisation du DB3 est un véritable jeu d’enfant : pas de menu caché, tout est accessible et intuitif. Les sons sont facilement paramétrables et mémorisables, quant au manuel (anglais ou italien), il est presque superflu.
Sounds
When playing in blues bands, rhythm & blues, soul and even jazz, we definitely need to B3 sounds authentic and realistic. At first glance, the DB3 fills out these features: basic sounds, without the rotary speaker (Leslie) are very well reproduced, and can quickly take to Jimmy Smith (organ jazz sounds are really realistic).
The effect Leslie (Rotary Speaker) leaves a little to be desired, it is preferable to use an external leslie for the big sound (I use a small personal Boss RT-20, and it does)

Lorsqu’on joue dans des groupes de blues, rhythm & blues, soul ou même jazz, on a forcément besoin de sons de B3 authentiques et réalistes. A première vue, le DB3 remplit bien ces caractéristiques : les sons de base, sans le rotary speaker (leslie) sont très bien reproduits, et on peut rapidement se prendre pour Jimmy Smith (les sons d’orgue jazz étant vraiment réalistes).
L’effet Leslie (rotary speaker) laisse un peu plus à désirer, il est donc préférable d'utiliser une leslie externe pour avoir le gros son (perso j'utilise une petite pédale Boss RT-20, et ça le fait)

Overall Opinion
I use the DB3 2 years now in version keyboard, and it's really comfortable to play on this type of keyboard, the look is vintage wood (good quality, ideal for waterfall keyboard glissando), the drawbars provide sensations game previously absent on other synths and sound modules). We are almost at the controls of a B3, but lighter and cheaper.
The only defect of this organ, Leslie is the effect that should be better. Hence the need to obtain either a real Leslie (beware of lumbago) or a good emulator Leslie (Boss RT-20, Korg G4, H & K Rotosphère).
At the portfolio level, nothing to say, the DB3 is 3 times cheaper than a Roland or a Korg CX3 VK8.
In summary, for a broke musician (redundant) fan of vintage sounds of the Hammond organ and who does not want to get a backache by carrying a real B3, the Viscount DB3 is ideal.

J’utilise le DB3 depuis maintenant 2 ans en version clavier, et c’est vraiment confortable de jouer sur ce type de clavier : le look est vintage (bois de bonne qualité, clavier waterfall idéal pour les glissando), les tirettes harmoniques apportent des sensations de jeux jusque là absentes sur les autres synthés et expandeurs). On est presque aux commandes d’un B3, mais en plus léger, et en moins cher.
Le seul défaut de cet orgue, c’est l’effet Leslie qui mériterait d'être meilleur. D’où la nécessité de se procurer soit une vraie Leslie (attention au lumbago), soit un bon émulateur de Leslie (Boss rt-20, Korg G4, H&K Rotosphère).
Au niveau du portefeuille, rien à dire : le DB3 est 3 fois moins cher qu’un Korg CX3 ou qu’un Roland VK8.
