Getting Started
Hyper installation simple, the pedal is the sound card, you just report it to the computer.
We need the internet to get the key to unlock the version, otherwise it stays in demo.

Suitability/Performance
MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 180 GB HDD The sound card is not the issue, since it is the pedal of Guitar Rig 2, which is sound card.

it crashes ever, no latency of sound. When giving a helping pick on the guitar, the sound is right there.

ça plante jamais, pas de latence de son. Lorsqu'on donne un coup de médiator sur la guitare, le son est tout de suite là.

Overall Opinion
I use it since 2007, first version 1, with the pedal, then the 2, also corresponding with the pedal, then 3, with the pedal 2. Well, there was still a problem between versions 1 and 2, because in the version 1 is the sound card of the computer that was working, the pedal was a pilot. In Version 2, is the pedal that makes driver and also the sound card. So we are left with the pedal version 1 that is useless.
I use it mostly live, rehearsals and concerts.
I connect a guitar (Shergold modulator 3, or melodymaker Gibson), first in a Proco Rat and in the lobby of the pedal, it appears in a bass amp Marshall JCM 800 series, with matching 4X12 cabinet.
I use the effects and amps, rarely firms. The sound and the possibilities are noisy at will. The ring modulator with the expression pedal kills more surely than a sniper. The Psychedelay also does damage. The pitchpedal sending you direct deathmétalland. The ultrasonic you saturate the atmosphere. The octave you dropped 2 floors. The layers of effects can be controlled very well from the pedal to 6 switches (including an expression pedal). You can record, sampler, rebalance loops, sequence effects.
My concern is not its accuracy, but the production of layers of sound (besides, I plug a Korg Monotron also in there). The range goes from very sharp sound of the wah and the Ring to the very serious of the octave and the pitch. Therefore the amp that the cash thing. After a few trials directly into the sound, ultimately very disappointing, with little momentum, the passage through a tube amp suits me perfectly. For me, Guitar Rig is a infinite effect rack which saves me having two meters of Electro-Harmonix pedals and Death by Audio in front of the shoes.

Je l'utilise depuis 2007, d'abord la version 1, avec le pédalier, puis, la 2, également avec le pédalier correspondant, puis la 3, avec le pédalier de la 2. Bon, il y a eu un problème tout de même entre les versions 1 et 2, car dans le version 1, c'est la carte son de l'ordinateur qui travaillait, le pédalier n'était qu'un pilote. Dans la version 2, c'est le pédalier qui fait pilote et aussi la carte son. Du coup on se retrouve avec le pédalier de la version 1 qui ne sert à rien.

J'utilise les effets et les amplis, rarement les cabinets. Le son et les possibilités sont bruyantes à souhait. Le ring modulator avec la pédale d'expression tue plus sûrement qu'un sniper. Le psychedelay fait aussi du dégât. Le pitchpedal vous envoi direct à deathmétalland. L'ultrasonic vous sature l'atmosphère. L'octaver vous fait tomber de 2 étages. Les couches d'effets se pilotent très bien à partir du pédalier à 6 switchs (dont une pédale d'expression). On peut enregistrer, sampler, rebalancer des boucles, séquencer les effets.
Mon souci n'est cependant pas la précision du son, mais la fabrication de nappes sonores (d'ailleurs, je branche également un Korg Monotron là dedans). La palette sonore passe du très aigu de la wha et du Ring au très grave de l'octaver et du pitch. Il faut donc l'ampli qui encaisse la chose. Après quelques essais directement dans la sono, finalement très décevant, sans grande dynamique, le passage par un ampli à lampe me convient parfaitement. Pour moi, le Guitar Rig n'est qu'un rack d'effet infini qui m'évite d'avoir deux mètres linéaires de pédales Electro-Harmonix et Death by Audio devant les godasses.
