Value For Money : Poor
T have any words or so, I think it useful to talk about the limitations of the machine that are rarely discussed and yet are numerous. I love this machine nanmoins bcp for its ability cratives but the extent and limitations of a problem to me underwhelmed.
Here's the list:

- The duration of sampling maximum (= internal memory of ESX) is expressed in seconds (and rather put forth ...) but it may be good to know that roughly corresponds 25MB ... No standard.

On the two-output pairs Stereo (L / R and 3 / 4), only THE FIRST (L / R) benefitted lamps and (what I have seen anywhere in the manual) of section effect. All sounds affects the release 3 / 4 will therefore be "raw" (no effect without lamps). In addition, the volume of outputs 3 / 4 is not adjustable (the volume knob does not affect it) so you have to "hound" the output L / R (via the volume knob) to stay cohrent between these two outputs. Nothing insurmountable but good to know.

-Output L / R then blows that gal level, the output 3 / 4 is not blowing ... And upgrade the OS of the ESX (1.0.2) does absolutely no problem RULES unlike what some may say on the Net.

-The impossibility of copying a "part" (a sound and rglages) from a pattern on a "part" of another pattern ... ProCD per copy must complte the pattern and remove what does not. Suffice to say that it is better rflchir well before starting. Once DIFFERENT patterns made, impossible to copy a part in another pattern ... Galre Trs.

-The fact that the keyboard (keyboard Part) is monophonic trsdlicat makes its use since no note can not overlap one another. It quickly becomes a nightmare to play in Młoda Vitantis dborder of a note on the following note (otherwise the following is not playing).

The only external-editor (computer) and third party (congratulations Korg) available only runs on PC and not under OSX. The "happy" Mac owners (I am) will have acqurir Bootcamp or Parallel as well as a version of Windows to be able esprer using this utility. And they will have to sr possder an Intel Mac.

-The effects and filters are sometimes a little weird behavior and quite random image. Its the same pass in the same effect or filter does not always give the same rsultat each cost ... Trs sound filter could well change once and saturate the next time when we have absolutely nothing chang. This seems especially phnomne MUCH DIFFERENT caused by the volumes, perform all necessary mchine did not seem in the same Manir DIFFERENT levels.

-L o we can apply a panning or a lightweight auto panning effect on a mono sound for the "pseudo stro-ize" (very useful to "offload" a little Stereo image center), failure to apply certain effects makes parts and auto-parts inactive.

-Charging time terribly long mode ALL (bcp bcp why is it longer than the other way in ALL ?...). Save

UTILIZATION

The backup is enough pnible as it is done on Smart Media, stand abandoned for a long time, even in version 128MB (maximum authorized for backup). We must therefore get an adapter SM-> XD found almost exclusively on Ebay or at Thomann.
It will then get a player reading the SM or XD card if you want to backup on computer.
Between the reader and Smart media become unaffordable as rare, the bill, dj dirty, quickly fly pattern.

As for the paper manual, it is translated in French, which may sound good but is not in my case. All buttons and functions as srigraphis in English on the machine, it can become difficult to trs know what we are talking about in the manual, the translation can be quite as "free" ... Remains the pdf in English.

SOUNDS

As said before, the sounds of the factory may have intrt, at least not if used as is. Personally, I kept a lot so I triturated they resemble at all what they taient to beginners and I got, I think, some pretty int Ress.
The tape "sampling" is also a little tedious because sample directly (via audio link). As for backup, Korg could choose USB as its competitors bcp (Aka and co).

The classic effects such as reverb, EQ or compression are like the sounds: no need to use them esprer Manir "classic". The reverb, for example, can be awful but if abused INTERESTED To create an effect.
The compression is quite unusable in my case (not enough paramtres), a pump trs fast and has twists agnre of breath (forgetting).
The Eq can vaguely help for trslgres okay.
However, I am personally quite a fan effects more "artistic" type Pitch Shifter, Ring Mod, Grain Shifter, Phaser, Chorus and other Decimator (bit crusher) which can, I think, make sounds quite incredible in combination with filters for example.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month, she must accompany me on scne (vocals-guitar-bass) and act as a "rhythm box" (BFD mainly from batteries) and electronic sounds gnrateur .
I first t trssduit then use, all I bad surprises and surprises me a little limitations cooled.
Dj I previously worked with samplers (eg S3000) and dj have state of the MPC (2000, 1000) with whom I also hsit purchase.
The price seems a bit lev Whereas limitations evokes, but if the machine delivers on scne and is robust, the pill is expected to rise more easily.
If I had to repeat the same purchase, I think it would take j'hsiterais bcp and can be an MPC1000.
