I knew what I wanted, so no surprise with the purchase especially since I knew this snare.
Circles molded trigger simple and effective, not just the right source of unnecessary mechanical failure in anticipation .... the rest of the parts is good, everything is finished a nice snare, I find her look terrible ...
The ITS .... First, a surprising power saw his "safe", slap it dry ... As it is accurate, we come to manage this power by controlling the game and depending on the settings, you can reach a lot of things (jazz, funk, Latin, etc. ....). I change the drum head, Remo Pinstripe Coated, and I get a good rock sound with an average voltage, harmonics not invasive, it approaches a 14x5, I did not feel play a piccolo ... Cons must be managed by its power.
This is a great snare, well made, quality materials and that sounds great .... Given the prices charged for other snares all brands in the standards it is ...
Its default / Quality = power considering its size!
I ordered the replacement was in Maple + / - € 102, I will be delivered in early April, so two months of waiting, if all goes well ....
So for 480 €, we have two different textures of sound, the change might be made in 10 minutes.
I also have a DC Supraphonic LUDWIG 400 (Vintage) and with my new Pearl, I am ready to cover a nice range of scenarios ...
But the Pearl is still faster to adjust.
We must recognize that Pearl has a good selection of very good CC when one reaches a certain level range ..... Entirely personal opinion.
