Wow. When I tried the Clapton signature Stratocaster Without boost it was more powerful than my Gibson Les Paul. With the 25 DB mid boost it was way too powerful for Me, but with a Little boost it works fine. Please use a very powerful amp with this guitar. This guitar at 25 DB mid boost is actually 17 times more powerful than a Gibson Les Paul I found out. You wont get near a Stratocaster sound though. So if you are looking for a Stratocaster this is not for you. The guitar is not that well balanced as it is way too powerful Humbucker wise.The Clapton signature Stratocaster has Humbuckers ( Fender Vintage Noiceless ) and an incredible 25 DB mid boost. So this is a pure Humbucker guitar. And with the 25 DB mid boost engaged it must easily be the most powerful Humbucker guitar in the world. But Thats What Clapton wanted. I use it When extremely powerful Humbucker sounds is needed.
