UTILIZATION

The neck is quite thick which allows in all cases of well muscle hand :-/ ^ ^
The guitar is very light, however, to believe that there is nothing in it (which will be confirmed later) ...
Access to Acute is correct

SOUNDS

While playing, I used this guitar for playing particular Dire Straits (yes a guy of 18 who knows Dire Straits is very hard XD)
The sound is very "rough", the sustain on the last chord is nonexistent. I think the microphone and cabling are personally guilty, being original.

OVERALL OPINION

Jim Harley (guitar manufacturer discount for short) has stopped the sale of the ST 30 for a while now.
However if you want to start electric guitar with versatile guitar, I'd recommend the Squier who are very reliable
I was just offered this guitar so no regret of course, she allowed me to start electric guitar or almost free (strings and amp)

UTILIZATION

- The neck is moderately enjoyable, it tends to hang.
- The highs are easily accesible, the report form, asser weight is okay but if I desire what is a little more lightweight.
- By its level against the pickups are really low-end trs. If it remains in its clear it can go, but on the Satus ....... it's ugly.

SOUNDS

Good must not hope to make mtal or large sound with a guitar like this, despite my amps that I find fun (Marlboro 820A) and the few belongings that I bah I find not really sound that suits me. A leave if you stay in the classic sounds (not saturated).

OVERALL OPINION

Low-end guitar for beginners, good start but we quickly want to test mieu.
I have for some years and I replayed it once in a while but I quickly regained my Ibanez or my hondo have a much better sound. The report price is good quality, I pay about 150 with a 15w amp, a jack, and a house. To begin, ca suit me now bcp moin.

UTILIZATION

The model is intended as a replica of the famous "Fender Stratocaster".
Indeed, it contains all the characteristics of a stratovolcano, however we do not misunderstand, as soon as one puts their hands on the instrument, we realize that is a far cry from the mythical model . On the other hand, is a low-end model that we speak!

The ease of playing is not really the appointment, the handle is very wide and very round, making it easier for the game against legato (Dave Murray plans going rather well I must admit).
To be quite honest, I sometimes feel like playing with an acoustic guitar with such a handle, especially because of its net thickening when one approaches the Nut. Moreover, the handle was covered with a varnish that tends to hang his left hand when traveling :-(

The vibrato is totally unusable, the vibrato once is enough to tune all the strings ... Catastrophic!
Speaking of tuning, the Stardust's hard to keep the agreement, especially with regard to the G string. I do not think the mechanics are in an oil bath.
That's what bothers me most about this model (with a guitar playing that takes the agreement is not a luxury).

Finally, on my model, the frets were not properly leveled.
Result, we obtain the same score for boxes 19 and 20! Already the number of frets do not allow me to play all the songs in my repertoire that often go to the box 22 ... this problem is very frustrating leveling :-(
I bidoullé a little truss rod, but to no avail so I get to Solve the action of the strings. So I find myself with a guitar whose action is set to almost 7 mm at the 12th fret! I can always console me by telling me that this setting promotes the game with a bottleneck but still good.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds quite powerfully unplugged vacuum and timbre is pleasant.

The electronics are definitely of poor quality: the microphone selector makes a funny noise and does not allow the selection of certain configurations of microphones (I checked by tapping on the pads magnetic pickups with the tip of a screwdriver) .
As usual when the electronics are of poor quality, the volume knob "crackles" badly :-(
The pickups are rather weak, but still deliver the sonic palette is expected this kind of guitar sound that is crystal clear and sounds very saturated rock. The maple tree that makes up the body and the handle pops and gives brilliant sound of the instrument.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought the Jim Harley Sardust 30 to start the guitar. I chose this model because the price was very attractive: less than € 150 (almost 8 years ago).
I do not regret having started with the guitar, perhaps out of nostalgia?!
I use it now as a backup guitar, in case I have problems with my guitar on stage.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice arrangements are pressed on their own, a good guitar for beginners

For weight, I recognize that it may be a bit heavy and you can feel on the shoulder after a while. In appearance, it has nothing to envy to the real Fender Stratocaster.

SOUNDS

It is true that do not offer a great sound, the microphones are low-end compared to other guitars a bit more expensive, we feel all the difference. However it provides a crystal clear sound and very nice and there's much way to play nice piece that look good. For saturation or any other style a bit hard, it will leave you on your hunger.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 5 years, € 50 bought used with a 15 watt amp. The value for money is acceptable.J 'hear a lot of negative things about the guitars Jim Harley and even if compared to other guitars it is actually poor quality and low-end, it is still a great guitar for a beginner on a budget. I have a lot of beginners in my entourage and I can assure you they like it at all for its ease of play and its attractive appearance.

To start I would do this choice, but it is understood that at this price point, we see progressively limits: it is only a guitar for beginners.
