    Honor Drums Rockwood

Rockwood StratocasterPublished on 04/07/04 at 15:00
I got my Rockwood at a local music store. I paid $350 for it, the store wanted 499, but I went on the internet and found it for 350 so they matched it.I got it as my first drum set to play around on and mabye join a band.(ive had an electric yamaha dd55 drumset for about a year now.)

The Rockwood has great tone for the price. Its shells are construced wonderfully! The hardware is pretty good, it hasnt fallen apart yet. The drum heads are ok for the price. the snare Sounds great! The viedos it comes with are good for helping set it up and tune it.

The main thing that might need to be replaced on this set are the cymbals. As you would expect on most kits for this price they arn't very good,…

This unit is superbly constructed. The bearing edge on the drums is complety smooth.

For the price this is a wonderful drum set!
I am completly satisfied with it!

Well, I'm gonna keep this fairly brief.
I bought this guitar from a friend.
It's a green strat copy and has three single coils. I paid him $100 dollars for it 8 or 9 years ago i have played it half to death. I've never really felt any overwhelming need to have any other guitar.
It's an excellent solid axe i can always count on to do what a guitar is supposed to do.

It's a guitar. It plays guitar music.
And it's a no frills electric solidbody.
I've acquired two new guitars recently just because i wanted something a little more stylish at first but i got a dean ml and it is no good stuck with that i ate the loss on that one one and got a jackson jx10 the jackson is a black dinky style …

I would seriously never ever in a million years give up my rockwood i can't trust any other guitar to be any good at any price but i know darn good and well that my rockwood will always play well. I have not replaced the pickups but i have worn thru the pu covers so i am replacing those now.
I lost the trem arm so i'm replacing that i replaced the chrome bridge saddles with graphite teflon coated saddles which are certainly the coolest breakthrough in guitar technology ever. And i replaced the white knobs with black ones i am also replacing the white pu covers with black ones. and may consider replacing the beat up white pickgaurd with a black one as well but i don't know if i could stand to do so we'll see i am not planning on doing it for sure anytime soon.

I've often wanted to replace the neck with one that had a fancy name on it but i can't trust the other necks they may be/probably are garbage. and may not work well.
So i guess i was always just embarassed i didn't have a fancy guitar with a cool brand name on it, but now i do and i don't care anymore so whatever i like it alot and dislike nothing.

I pretty much played it almost as much as anyones probably ever played a single guitar in a lifetime and it hasn't had a problem. no guess work it has proved itself well built.

This guitar is my guitar i imagine few other hohner rockwoods in the world are anywhere's near as cool as mine I would say if you find one which you probably won't without it at least being a rockwood pro or something. Give it a try what do ya got to lose it can't be very expensive.
oh and that wasn't brief was it? oops.
    well, good luck

i paid 140 quid for this guitar along with a lead, strap and 10 watt watson amp at a local music shop price on its own was 110pound

it looks great in bright red and whit with black edging on the scratch-guard. you can get a good, hard sound out of it even with a very cheap amp. good first guitar

i dont like the fact that the strings are quite high off the fretboard and the way that the fretboard is finished as it is not very good to slide your hand along.

it has a bolt-on maple neck and feels quite solid but it is quite heavy.

this is a good beginner guitar that looks brilliant.

Music has always been a hobby of mine but i had never played an instrument before except the keyboard and recorder! My friend played electric guitar and suggested to me that i aquire a bass so i could jam with him. The rockwood was my first bass guitar. I purchased it from a newsagents in a small village, which is quite unique. The owner of the place was a former employee of Hohner and had continued to make guitars and bass guitars after he left the company. All the guitars he sells are hand made and signed by the maker, and it cost me £180.

The owner of the place was a former employee of Hohner and had continued to make guitars and bass guitars after he left the company. All the guitars he sells are hand made and signed by the maker, and it cost me £180.

THe hohner rockwood is a very large bass and is solid body, which makes it quite heavy but reduces vibration and it produces a very clean sound. The neck is maple wood which looks very good and is easy to clean. My bass has taken quite a battering scince i've had it, which is for around 3 years now, but it still works perfectly and has not needed any repairs scice i bought it. It is a very reliable, easy bass which would be good for a beginner.

The weight of the bass is its largest letdown. After having it on your shoulder for the duration of a gig you wonder if your arm is still able of movement! The only other thing is that the truss rod on my bass has needed to be adjusted a few times to sort out the action which is quite high.

The Rockwood has a very good construction, a good solid body and solid components. The neck has a bolted on plate to strengthen the join, with inlaid steel frets. The hardware is all polished steel and easy to clean. I have never had any problems with this bass and the electronics are very reliable, and the pickups are very responsive. The head and tuning pegs are well made and have stood up to me bashing it against doorframes, amps, other people, etc. scince I bought it.

I think this bass was a good start for me as I learned to play on it and can now play a wide range of bass shapes, but because this was heavy I could play other large body basses much easier. A good bass for beginners.

I paid exactly $400 for a red begginers drumset at a small music shop in Waterville, Maine, called Al Corey's.

My friends and I were just looking for something simple to replace the old, rusted, beat up, set that we used to play on so we took four, one-hundred dollar bills to Al Corey's and were like, "Give us a drum set." The set was simple, semi-low cost, and wasn't going to break down within the first week of use.

The cymbals it came with sucked! [or so it seemed.] They weren't even branded. And the toms weren't the greatest either.

The are beaten to hell at the moment, but since we don't have money to get new ones, they're gonna have to work. The set, overall, is well-built and should last a couple more years if taken care of.

If you're a begining drummer, Rockwood by Hohner beging set is a really nice set.

I bought this guitar at at Archtop Guitars where they sell used electric guitars. I paid $172.00 for it. It was built in 1993.

I like the colour of the guitar which black is my favourite colour. The shape of the guitar is very nice and being it only has 21 frets it is easy for me to play.

Sometimes the pickup switch oxidizes which is not a big deal because I used a spray that helped it stay in good condition. I am thinking about changing the pickups in the near future.

The quality is very good. The shape is contoured so that I can sit down and play it. This guitar will last a long time being it is young.

This is a good guitar for beginners and good for in the studio.
